We are staying at the Royal Plaza@DD and I want to go to the closest Wal-Mart for soda and snacks. I searched the Wal-Mart site and think I have the closest one, 8990 Turkey Lake Rd., 6.23 from the Royal Plaza. Could anyone confirm if this is correct?

Can't help with this particular question, but Google Maps has a great feature that will search near an address. Just enter Walmart near 8990 Turkey Lake Rd and it will show you all your options.

I looked at the Wal-Mart website and the number 1 store listed in that area is the one that the OP found. However considering that the Royal Plaza is located in Downtown Disney, I know there is a Wal-Mart located 5 minutes from there at 3250 Vineland Road Kissimmee, FL 34746. When leaving WDW from there turn right onto Lake Buena Vista and drive straight, because you can't miss it.

is the closest - problem with walmart web site is that you have to enter a zip code and not an address like the publix site. I googled royal plaza orlando and came up with zip code 32830 and that is what is used and vineland was closest.

You're right that the Wal-Mart site does have that problem. I used the zip code for the Premium Outlet Mall and their address is also on Vineland Road, however the #1 store they listed was the one at 8990 Turkey Lake Rd. So it's kind of weird how the Wal-Mart on Vineland Road was listed as #2, considering the zip code I had put in.
