Has anyone ever done this? Please tell me about it. Is it likely that we would be the first ones there if we try at rope drop? I heard the child gets a wand or a sword. Is that true? Just one child or all the children in the party? Thanks! :goodvibes

They don't really do this like they used to anymore, the closest thing is to go to the giftshop "Tink's Treasures" and ask a CM if you can "wake-up Tink" there is a shadowbox behind the register where she will appear. It is great but no prizes except a big smile!

This can be done throughout the day... but I believe the first person in the morning does get a certificate.

The new name of the shop (after the remodeling in 2009) is Tinker Bell's Fairy Treasures.

So Robo, does the area maked Character Meet & Greet include Pixie Hollow?

When we were there 2 weeks ago, EVERYONE was waking up Tink by ringing a bell.

Uh-oh!
Better be careful, or you might summon the wrong "surprise guest."

"Creepies and crawlies, toads in a pond
let there be music from regions beyond.
Wizards and witches wherever you dwell
give us a hint by ringing a bell."

Love it!! :rotfl2:

If you walk in and no music is playing, Tink is still asleep and your child(ren) can ask to wake her. We never managed to get there that early! If the music's on, they can still ask to call her ... I imagine depending on how busy they are, this process can be as short as one child being given a bell and all being encouraged to call out her name. Little lights appear along the upper shelves, and then she shows up as a cartoon on a screen behind the counter. There's a slightly more involved process, where the kids learn a sort of pixie pledge (movie tie-in alert), then are dusted with pixie dust. Let me tell you, that stuff stays put. Then they call as indicated above.

It's sweet, and pretty quick to enjoy. Hope you have a great trip!

Nope.

Pixie Hollow is in Toontown.

Toontown is located above and to the right of the "North" Arrow seen on the
top map in my post #5 in this thread.

(BTW, the Toontown "Teardrop" [seen below] is reportedly no longer a Meet and Greet spot.)

Before the Refurb,Tinkerbell could only be seen VERY BRIEFLY by looking in the Keyhole of a Chest of Drawers.:)

Now she can be seen often outside the "window" behind the counter.

She does two "shows".

She can only be "awakened" once a day.In this "show" she "stretches and yawns,etc.".:)

She can also be "called" anytime of the day by asking a Cast Member if it is OK to ring the Bell and "call" her.In this "show",she basically just flies around "outside" the "window".:)

And, with the advent of the "calling Tink show," at long last, there is a "show" that is even less impressive than the Electrical Water Pageant.

I would love to try. I think there is just too much competition to get to it.

It is not nearly as popular as it once was (now that Pixie Hollow is in operation.)

I've seen the Tinker Bell's Fairy Treasures doors standing wide open in the mornings without a single guest inside.

Give it a shot. :thumbsup2

and even if you just summon her the cm may sprinkel some pixe dust in your or your kids hair

and let me say even the boys with buzz cuts it takes for ever for the dust to come out

We just did this on Thursday... we got to the park just after 9 am( it opened at 8 am for EMH) we headed for tinks shop, Becky asked if she could wake Tinker Bell - noone else was in the shop. The CM gave her a bell and helped us call for tinker bell. After her appearance we were sprinkled with pixie dust (still hasn't all washed out). We tried the sword in the stone, flew on dumbo, hopped on pooh and were at the toontown rope by 9:35 Becky was the first in to see tink

We had ADRs for the first time slot at CRT, so just before we checked in I took DD over to the shop where she got to wake Tink. She must have been the first of the day, so she got a certificate and "pixie dust" sprinkled all over her hair.
