Hi, does anyone know what time Tinkerbelle's Treasure's opens? Is it Park opening? My DN (3) has made it his mission to "find Tinkerbelle"....

I had a friend send him a message from Tink telling him she couldn't wait for him to visit, and he is now carrying the card around, and is determined to find her...(So cute!!!)

We woke up Tink a couple of weeks ago. :cool1:

Tinkerbelle's Treasures opens at Park Opening.

We had breakfast at Cinderella's Castle and were done a little before 9:00. We were in the front for the rope drop at the castle and went straight to wake Tink. We were on the far left side and that's the side they opened first. Clearly someone else that was near us had the same idea because we went really fast (not running) the 20 feet it took us to get there and there was someone else that came in right behind us. FYI they gave that girl a certificate too and may have let her pretend to wake tink, but our kids are the ones that actually got to do it.

Also, if you have boys, they give them swords to wake tink - we had girls and boys (4 total) in our group and they all did it together. They gave them each a certificate plus the baby that was with us and stayed in the stroller.

I will say that I didn't build up expectations with the kids b/c I didn't want them to be disappointed. Thankfully we were able to do it, but I think a lot of people know about it now so be prepared.

A truly Magical Experience!!!

Go to the Castle--walk through it--the shop is on the left hand side and you will see it instantly--we honestly werent even looking --I had heard of it but didnt even think twice of it until I saw the store and we went in and it was a highlight of the kids trip!!!

If those who got to "wake" Tink were there at Rope Drop & were to the front of line, what time did you arrive at MK to get in the "front of the line" also there must be more than 1 line, which one/side should we go in??

I plan to try & arrive at MK at 8:30 on the day we visit (it's not an EMH) and would REALLY love to do this for my girls..

TIA for any help!
Shelly

Do you know if the store opens at park opening when it is an EMH morning also? Just curious! This is on our list of things to try also.

We were in the store during am EMH and looked for Tink in the drawer and didn't see anything (no light). Told the CM that we were looking for Tink and she said "Oh." and walked away. So we have no idea if anyone woke her up that day or what. Hmph.

We got to MK at 8:30--there really wasnt a line--just a huge group of people--and we actually watched the singing and everything that went on at the train platform--and still made it in to Tink.

Can someone tell me what exactly is "waking tinkerbell?" It sound magical, can someone give me some more details about it? Obviously, it looks like only the first family that arrives can do it. Now I understand where it is, but how is it done? Is there a CM waiting by Tink to escort the first family to Tink? :confused3

Sorry for all these questions! I just want to be prepared!

I have never seen this done. Can some describe what happens in detail. Curious to know what happens when this is done :confused3

We did this last April. Here was my plan of action: We had 8:05 PS at CP we were finished by 8:45 and went up thru the castle to the rope drop. Got on the left side of the rope (which they did drop 1st). Tinkerbell's Treasures is to the left about 20 feet. We scurried over (though I think most of the people headed into Fantasyland) asked a CM if we could wake up Tinkerbell. The CM took my 2 DD over to behind the counter to a small shelf with a treasure box on it. She gave them a wand and told them to shout loudly three times "WAKE UP TINKERBELL!" Then a line of pixie dust (blinking lights) went around the room and I think ended up in the chest of drawers by the entrance. That is where you can look in the keyhole and see Tinkerbell.
They were givin each a certificate and some stickers. Somebody did come in after we had done it and saw the lights flashing (they stay on after she is woken up) and they knew it had already been done.

Ok I so want to wake up Tink...I let my DD know about it and she is so into doing it. We have a ADR for breakfast at the castle at 8:15 am. When I come out of the castle were will the rope drop be at? Does anyone have a picture of the shop?

My DD is 13 and loves Tink. Would love to find this shop, not so much to wake up tink but for Tink goodies. What kind of stuff do they have? Thank you!

The shop is found after you have gone totally through Cinderella's Castle (with the mosaics on the walls) to the other side which opens up to Fantasyland. Tink's Treasures is a medium-sized shop on the left as you enter Fantasyland. They have lots of costumes and accessories there...and all things Tinkerbelle and "princess".

Once one enters the shop, "Tinkerbelle" (aka as a series of small optic fiber effects) can be found from time to time as one shops, "zooming" around the store.

She has a regular route, from the "box", through the trees, and across a painted vista on the walls...whatever the route is (my recollection may not be exact, but she "zooms" from the box to 2 or 3 locations in the store before returning to the box and starting her route all over again. I'm not sure, but there may even be muted "Tinky harp" sounds that accompany her short hops around the shop.

This effect is not huge, but can be very magical if you don't tell your children in advance...especially the younger Tink lovers (although the 12 year old I saw last time I was there was absolutely enthralled when she noticed "Tink")

If you truly have a Tink lover in your group, I'd not say a word and then go in to shop for a bit any time of day, but earlier is the least crowded...it may take up to 5 minutes (be patient) before your Tink fan notices her, but when he/she does...it is just so wonderful...it's part of the magic, you see, to be taken by surprise, and not be expecting her!

When my girls were small I was so disappointed when they didn't notice her the first time we went in, but I didn't say a word. When we went back a day or two later, they did notice her! Needless to say they were almost as excited to show her to me as they were that they had seen her...and then there's that thing of, "but darlings...are you sure you saw her?...I don't see her, but if you say you saw her...then I'll just have to take your word for it...what? There she goes again?...but I didn't see anything...Where...?"

When I finally "saw" Tink, that's all my DDs chattered on about for the next hour...and then a recap for daddy...and big brother Joe...and to this day (they're going on 17 now) they love that I played along like that. They say I have to do that for their children some day. I tell them they should do it for themselves, but they say no one can create that truly believable magic but me! Lol...just imagine what I'd be like if I had used my talents for evil?!!! (I do understand/sympathize with the Evil Queen...she's just soooo misunderstood!

I have a picture of my DD waking up Tink in my signature. We had breakfast at the castle at 8:10 and then went straight to the shop. DD did get a very cute certificate and had a great time.

So if you have an early breakfast at Crystal Palace--Can you walk up through the castle for the rope drop outside of fantasyland?? We are eating at CP and I was worried that if we were held up somewhere ovecloser to there, we would never be able to make it to Tink in time--we only have 1 early morning in the MK and I could have had CRT for breakfast 3 different days but I didn't have it planned in my magnificent plans so I passed--now that I know about waking Tink--(my DDs would  love it) I am sorry I didn't book CRT just so we could be that much closer!!!! :wizard:

We tried twice in May. The first day when we got there after Mk opened somene was already there we went through the wrong doors. They asked as we approached. My daughter didnt really know what it was so we left and let them. The second time we ran after the opening show at mk all the way to the castle . We arrived at the cash register the same time so again I just left. I was really disappointed but didnt want to make much of a scene . We just went and rode rides and my daughter knew nothing about it really.
When we go again I will make an early ps at cp and try to do it. If I arrive at the same time I am going to say we shoudl both do it.
So everyone watch out next dec 2006!!! lol :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DD did this on our last trip. It was one of her favorite experiences of the vacation. :)
