Waived Cancellation Policy for Ivan

I just got off the phone with MS and they are once again waiving the cancellation policy, this time due to Ivan. They will reinstate your points to your regular account. This is the secong time we had to take advantage of this. We rescheduled from last weekend to this weekend. I think we will wait until after hurricane season before we reschedule again! We are traveling with a 9 mo old and we thought it was just to risky.

I am impressed.
I remember some post, about someone wanting to cancel at Vero Beach when Frances was about this far out, and were told that the cancellation policy would not be waved. (I might be wrong as to how far out Fances was at the time). Of course the policy was eventually waved.

If I were Disney, I would be seeing how many guests I could re-direct to California (along with some other compensation since DL doesn't have as much fun stuff as WDW). Maybe Disney, in coordination with travel agents, could do this sort of thing. Maybe someday they will own their own airline, making this sort of full vacation re-scheduling easier.

I just canceled today also. The lady I talked to in MS was really nice. At least our points are not in a holding account.
