Waitlists at BCV???

Anyone know how bad the direct waitlist is for BCV? I'm thinking about a small add on purchase 25-50 points to ease my borrowing a little and if the direct waitlist isn't too bad I may go that route. My initial purchase was resale, but for a small add on I may go direct.

We were thinking about going on the waiting list for a June UY too, we ended up putting in an offer on a resale contract. Crossing my fingers that Disney doesn't decide to ROFR it

last spring when the promotion was BW we WL both BW and BC - BC came in first which thrilled DH as he likes it best.

BW was $115 with $500 off purchase of 50 points - I think it was more the higher you went but we only wanted 55 pts.

Interesting - I had no idea they do promotions on the DVC resorts that are already "sold out".

Currently, or as of 5/7 (when I added on at BWV) they are offering $7pp off on current owners who add on 50 or more points (not sure what resorts but I know BCV and BWV were included as those were what I initially was interested in...ended up waitlisting BWV June and Aug UY in March...got June after a week on the WL and then just got Aug on 5/7).

You have to talk to your guide. It's usually not advertised much.

And can you buy 50 points at any resort or only the resorts you currently own?

You don't have to currently own there, but I am not sure which resorts offer the deal...I doubt VGF. I owned OKW, AKV and HHI but got BWV and also inquired about BCV and both had the $7pp off for 50+ add on.

Lots of different factors come into the WL and UY is one of them. Sometimes a smaller contract will come thru quicker because if Disney has ROFR'ed a large contract they can break it apart without changing the UY.
