We have our spot at BWV for 11/25-12/1/04 for a studio. My dd asked me if we could try out WL. Well, I knew it would be a real long shot but called MS anyway. They could have given me 26-30 right then and there. But I opted for waitlisting for the whole time frame. Did I make a mistake in not taking what I could and waitlisting the first and last days? What do you all think my chances are at this time of year for the wait list to come thru?

I guess the question is "how lucky do you feel"? If you weren't able to book all of the remaining days, you'd have to move at least once. If the thought of packing up and moving to a different resort doesn't sit well with you, I think you did the right thing. If on the other hand, this doesn't seem like a big deal, then I'd say go for the day-by-day waitlist. Good luck!

If the wait list goes thru how will I know? I know, dopey question. When MS asked me if I wanted a call or have them do it automatically I said automatic please. Will they they send me new confirmation papers? Guess I should have asked when I was on the phone, but didn't think of it until just this minute.

MS will send you a new confirmation letter if the waitlist comes through.

Good luck!

For what it's worth, I would have done the same as you did and waitlisted the entire trip. But then again, we really don't like to move at all once we've unpacked...so for us that is the priority.

Hey...you're "worst case" scenario is a week at BWV during the holiday season. Who could get bummed about that? :p

Exactly....a win/win situation!!! THanks for the answers you guys!

Personally, I would have taken the large block of dates you could have gotten. (Easy for me to say when we're talking about YOUR vacation, eh? ;) )

My big fear would be that while you are waiting for the two other dates to come open, the 26-30th may get snatched up by someone else. Now that the 7 month window is starting to open, I suspect there will be a lot of resort swapping. Hopefully you won't get caught without a chair when the music stops. :)

I know, the same thing crossed my mind also. But, worst case scenario is I'll have to sit in my chair at BWV. I can live with that. Just wanted to try something a little different.
