Waitlisted for VGC April 4th..stressing me out

So we are going to Disneyland for our first time the week before Easter and got most of the week at VGC in a studio...but 1 day right in the middle (Wednesday) we are waitlisted for and its got me stressed out. UGH!

I really hate to change hotels for 1 day!

Anyone have a tough wait list come through?

During busy times the wait lists at VGC might not come through ... I'm curious how soon the Grand Californian might be available for points to members again, perhaps that could be an alternative so at least you don't have to move buildings?
I've heard calling everyday can help since you don't know how far down the wait list you are.
And as a last resort, we waitlisted a couple of nights at VGC for a studio, and since it never came through (late September) we stayed at the DLH (it was the first few nights of our trip so only one move, not two). The move between hotels was pretty seamless ... checked out in the morning, asked them to transfer our luggage to VGC, headed to the parks, and when we checked in in the afternoon our luggage was delivered with our groceries. Might not be the worst option. Really would be rougher in the middle of the trip though. Good luck!

That its the Wednesday right in the middle is what has me most upset. I guess I could cancel the Thursday night and book Wed and Thurs at Disneyland or PP, so we would only have to move 1 time. I hate using all those points those!

I know its going to be crazy busy that week so I'm thinking that wait list may not come through and with only 3 months to go, I need to figure out something soon.

Glad to hear the move was seamless in getting your bags transferred though, eases some of the stress!

Not to throw another wrench in your plans but we moved from the GCV to the PP in June 2010 and we were very disappointed with the PP. I'd go to the DLH instead of the PPH.

Good to know about the PPH! I just got a 1 bedroom for the 4th and I'm keeping the wait list for a studio..but at least I don't have to switch hotels just rooms. Fingers crossed the wait list comes through!
