Finally got our last night BRV 1 bed for middle of December. Pumped!

My other wait lists executed automatically (individual nights to make it easier to get). This last one did not go through despite having a waitlist active. I just happened to check the website and the night was available. Couldn't believe it!

Happy I scored but are wait-list usually that unreliable? What's the reason it failed to trigger for a single night yet was bookable? Even checked after I reserved and the date was still available to book so more than 1 room was available.

Sometimes, you actually have a match pending but it hasn’t been processed.

The system doesn’t show that because a CM has to process it once it’s matched.

I have had that happen a lot. Of course, it’s not foolproof because we don’t know how some slip through or how often the system scans for matches.

The best part is that you did get it. Be sure to cancel your waitlist and once you do, go back and see if that night pops up…if it does, it does mean you actually had a match and what you snagged was a second room that opened up!

I have mostly pieced together a 10 day stay the first part of December at Kadani, I’m missing one day, unfortunately pretty much right in the middle of the stay. I’ve had that day on waitlist for almost 2 months with no luck yet. All the other days came through fairly quickly. Is there something special I’m unaware of on Wednesday December 3rd that would make this day tougher to get?

Also, when I first made the waitlist I think I might have selected not to borrow, because I had plenty of current UY points at that time. As I’ve filled out the rest of the days I have used those points and borrowed from 26 UY. I called MS and asked, they told me it would borrow, but she didn’t sound too terribly convincing. Could that be why it hasn’t filled that waitlist? If it were that do I have to cancel that one and make a new waitlist or can MS change an existing waitlist to borrow?

I get that there is no guarantees, it certainly could be no rooms have come available. It just seems strange a mid week date hasn’t filled in months, but all the others did including weekends filled in a couple of days on the waitlist or were just available to book.
