Waitlist triumph-- but question

Got a call from "Zeke" at the Contemporary tonight saying we could have a 1BD LV for our first night at BLT this Saturday. This is terrific as I've been waitlisted since like February for that one night and had resigned myself to the studio and having to move. I never expected the waitlist to come through five days out.

Here's my question/worry, though. On the member website, the trip now shows as one continuous ressie. That's fine, although I wasn't going to get the dining plan for the single night, and now I'll have to. BUT, I have two cancellations, and one new ressie number. Also, most of the points are listed as holding. (We're going, and it's all borrowed points, so that part doesn't worry me.)

What worries me is, will I lose all my dining ressies if the first two DVC ressies were pulled? Also, will having a ressie booked 5 days out ruin my chances of getting my previous requests? I'll probably call in the morning, but I'm worried now.

No, your reservations should still be there. Last year, I made reservations without my reservations # and when I got to the resort, they will able to pull them up without a problem.

What I am surprised about is that they called you to tell you that your WL came through and that it changed to one reservation.

That is the first I had heard of that but how great for you!!!

I got a call too, maybe 3 weeks ago, more like asking me if I still wanted it.. Thinking I would turn it down or something?

BW standard view 30 points LESS .. at 4+ month window instead of SSR.. Hubby answered the phone as I was at work.. he is like.. OHH I don't know, my wife handles that I just show up at the air port. (He doesn't even know what a wait list means.) .. I CALLED back QUICKER than.. .. well. .. you can imagine. They actually held it for the day, I had never heard of them holding ANYTHING. BUT..

4 beautiful nights in a studio at AK - 1 beautiful night at Vero - then 4 nights in a 1 bedroom at standard view BW.

Ha, my husband would say the same thing. And then I would run him over trying to get to the phone. Congrats to you and the OP for getting your waitlists!

Thanks for the replies; I'm stressing less about the dining today. Now if I could just decide whether to pull the trigger on DDP. It's Wednesday or never, I guess.
