We have one of those ever expanding trips in January. It started out as 6 nights BCV and has now expanded to 13 nights. We usually book ASMo for the first two days (usually a Fri/Sat) to save a few points...and especially this trip, since we will be driving and aren't sure of our arrival time (weather). However, I got thinking that since we will be arriving on Sun instead of our usual Fri, we should check availability for an OKW studio instead. I called this morning, and in 1 1/2 hours (and after some points jumbling), had success with the waitlist.
I'm really happy. I just wasn't in the AS mood for this trip. Maybe that is because this trip is just on the heels of our HH GV stay and we were really spoiled with all the space. The thought of us 5 in an AS room just wasn't as exciting.
How do you suppose MS comes up with rooms this late. I can't imagine many people changing their plans now for mid January. Do you think they start breaking-up any remaining 2-BRs into a studios and 1-BRs?
We are looking forward to our stay: 3 nights OKW studio/4 nights Poly concierge (AP rate) and 6 nights at our home, BCV.
