I have 8 nights at SSR, but would like to waitlist nights 6-8 at BLT. Does the SSR ressie get modified to become 5 nights if the waitlist comes through or cancelled all together?

Also, what happens to FP if the original is cancelled. Based on the new rules, FP is tied to a room reservation. If the reservation of those FP days are cancelled after the FP has been selected inside 60days, then in theory those FP will also be cancelled?

If they are not cancelled because this is a "modified" reservation, then the loophole still exists to some degree.

I’m also worried about this. I have a split stay coming up with Poly and BCV. Waitlisting for VGF during my Poly stay.
Originally I had BCV for the entire time, but at 7 months I was able to get 4 nites at Poly, and I gave up part of my BCV. With these FP changes now , I almost wish I’d stayed with the one resort.

I believe the policy is 48 hours to replace the missing days with a new reservation.

Can you separate your reservations? So that your 8 nights at SSR become two separate reservations? I've never heard of a waitlist for days that are part of one long reservation.

What option did you choose when you waitlisted? Replace existing reservation? Book using new points?

Just theory at this point. Relatively new to DVC and only waitlisted a full stay prior.

I have never waitlisted before but there is a first time for everything as I just put in for a waitlist yesterday. I have 8 nights booked for BRV but wanted to put a waitlist in for CCV for 7 of those nights. I noticed that when I put the waitlist in online it only gave the option to cancel the whole 8 nights instead of the 7 nights if the waitlist came thru. So I called GS and they were able to put my waitlist in for the 7 nights without cancelling my first night at BRV. The CM was super nice on the phone and said he put in lots of notes because if the waitlist came thru and they accidentally cancelled my first night and the note was there NOT to cancel that first night then they would have to accommodate me . Soooooo, hoping it comes thru and all goes well but my suggestion to you would be to call
