If I'm able to secure BWV preferred view at 7 month window , am I able to waitlist for bwview? If so, what if only 1-2 nights come thru, not the whole ressie? Can you go back to prefered view or do I now need to move to a different room or worse yet, back and then forth?
Next question....if I make a ressie for a few days in Aug at okw, but waitlist for bw and not all the nights come thru, how does member services handle that? Do I now need to move to two resorts? Also if I reserve one resort , waitlist another and whole thing comes thru but is less points(1-2) per night, do I lose those few points to get what I wanted.......thanks.....Sue

There are two ways to waitlist--day-by-day and for the entire stay.

If you waitlist day-by-day, each day of your trip will be booked as it comes available. This is the most risky manner as it could leave you with a trip split between multiple rooms or even multiple resorts.

If you waitlist for the entire stay, your reservation will only be changed if the entire trip comes through at once. This is the "safest" approach, but also has the lowest chance for success. If you are waitlisted for 7 nights and 6 are available, the trip will NOT be booked. Additionally, those 6 nights will NOT be held for you in any way, shape or form. Another member could take some or all of those days while you are waiting.

Basically, for longer trips, the only way that a waitlist would come through for the entire stay would be if a single member cancelled a trip that exactly matched your dates / resort / room type.

If a waitlist request comes through for fewer points, the excess is returned to your account.
