Waitlist Question

Hi all, Do you frequently have your waitlist come through? I have a trip planned in FEB and need a Value Studio at AKV. What are my chances?

I've never waitlisted for a large block of days, just a day or two and they have come through for me 4 out of 6 times. I am waiting for a single day, savannah view, have standard view studio for a day of Memorial weekend. That hasn't come through, and if it does, it will be 5 out of 6!

FYI - keep checking the DVC site for your confirmed reservations. I was waitlisted for a couple of days for January. The "waitlist" was turned into a "confirmed" and I was never notified. Thank goodness I looked, because I needed to cancel my back up reservation.

i had never waitlisted before i asked for a value studio for the 1st week of december this year...and i broke it into parts (which i don't think you can do anymore).

i wound up getting the first 2 nights at the AKV 2 months after getting on the waitlist at the 7 month window. i expected that the information would just update automatically on the internet site, but wound up getting a call from MS and they asked me to confirm that i wanted to take the value room for the first 2 nights.

3 months after that (still 2 months or so from my travel dates), i called MS a few times to see if that improved my chances. i wound up getting another night added on to my reservation, so that i was staying the 1st 3 nights in a value room before moving over to OKW for the rest of my wdw stay. the last couple of nights never did come through...

so it can happen (or it could when you were able to waitlist day-by-day) but it's really iffy for something with as few units as the value rooms. i would think february would be a great time to take a shot. BTW, the value studio i stayed in was terrific but would be really cramped for more than 1 or 2 people.

We are waitlisted for AKV confirmed savanah view for Feb 15th and 16th..been calling everyday...no luck. We were waitlisted for VWL or AK for the Decmber at the 7month mark exactly and it never came thru. So right now I am discouraged with the waitlist process. I keep being told there are no studios available on property for those two dates...

I wanted 5 nights, June 22-27, at Kidani and called mid-November at the 7-month mark, but two of my nights were not available. I confirmed at Jambo house and auto waitlisted for Kidani, but it has not come through, yet. It won't be a huge deal, but we really wanted to stay in the new section with two bathrooms! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I figure everyone called and reserved asap, whether they were certain of their plans, and many will be changing their ressie.

I have always been lucky in the past.

I have a reservation for Feb 5-9 at BCV....looking to get into VWL. So far, no luck......looking, calling, praying daily.
