Waitlist issues

Can someone explain to me how the room I want and have waitlisted, can sit on the site for days and my waitlist has not picked it up?
I would grab it myself, but the glitch about resale members not being able to modify and book with borrowed points has put me at the mercy of others.
I do not have the time during business hours to wait on hold to talk to a cast member in person, as I work and my breaks are not 80 minutes long.... or longer.
I am at my wits end with all of this. The whole reason I have the waitlist is because I can't grab it and the one day off I had I spent on hold to talk to someone and they couldn't see the room as available, even though I could see it. The only thing he could do was waitlist it. That room disappeared a day later, and then reappeared a day after that, and has sat there untouched ever since. My waitlist is still waiting.
Any guesses as to what is going on?
 
I know a few weeks ago there were issues of rooms showing as available on the website but were not really available....sort of a phantom availability issue. I thought there reports that it was fixed but maybe there are some lingering issues.
 
As mentioned, it could be the issue where it is not there.

Or, the other is that you have a waitlist match that has not been processed yet and what you are seeing is another room available.

That has happened to me way too many times. I grab my second choice, cancel my waitlist, and the room shows up and grab it

Since the systems doesn’t show if you have one waiting to be processed, it’s sometimes hard to know.

I’d try chat..it always shows up in less than 10 minutes.. and ask them if you have a match. Many will tell you.

Of course, it is also possible that it’s real. But since we have seen it for more than a day, it’s more likely something else.
 
So sorry this is happening to you. Your frustration is understandable and warranted.

In some cases, availability was showing, but really wasn't there. In some cases, a waitlist was matched but not yet completed by a CM. Your only option is to call and I know that is very difficult for many.

I do not think there are plans to fix the borrowing issue - it looks like they are just going to wait until the restriction is lifted before anything is done. I can only suggest an email to Member Satisfaction or Terri Schultz's office expressing dissatisfaction with their failure to correct this problem.
 

It may be the phantom issue mentioned above. I have the same thing happening. I have a room waitlisted but it won't get filled. I see a room available and then go to modify my existing reservation and ultimately the process fails, I get the dwarves "sorry" page and then I go in to modify the reservation again but the room is gone. The same room pops up again a few hours later and same issue, can never snag it and get the dwarves. My guess is that the room is not available after all, which is why my waitlist isn't getting filled.

Unless you call and confirm there is no match, it is always possible it did. It can take days for MS to process a match.
