Waitlist for Points (DVC)

I have decided to get on the waitlist through DVC just in case my ROFR doesn't go through. Has anyone else done this, because I would like to see what there guide told them on the possibilities and what they are waiting for. Thanks

I am on the waitlist, but my guide made no promises as to when the points would come through. He has had our credit card number for a while now, so he knows we are patient. Could be next week...could be in 6 months...who knows!!!

DVC will ask for a credit card at the time you are added to the list. If the points become available, they immediately charge a $500 deposit and send the paperwork out to you.

IMO, if you lose out on your current resale you're much better off going after another. You're bound to get one a lot cheaper than $89 per point, even if it involves making another offer and waiting again.

Yikes! Waiting to pass RoFR was excruciating but at least it wasn't that bad.
