I just had to share this great find from a local op shop! We don't often see Disney items in op shops in Australia, so it's pretty exciting when you do, particularly when it's the right size too! Hoping that it might be warm enough to wear this on one of our AK days, even if I have to pair it with tights.

We're having a bit of downtime today in preparation for our big travel/arrival day tomorrow. So just checking in again.

It's salt. That's Badwater Basin at Death Valley NP. It was a little chilly in the morning!

All of that is VERY familiar. Did you adore the donkeys as much as I did?!

Vegas has some fun stuff to offer, but I'm still wanting to get out the hike in the Red Hills just outside the city.

We were actually disappointed with the donkey interactions at Oatman. They've definitely ruined it by encouraging people to feed the donkeys. We thought many looked unhealthy, and they also have an attitude problem. We had the best luck, and just happened to stumble across 2 donkeys on our way to Death Valley. They were beautiful - very curious but gentle. I think that interaction spoiled us for Oatman.

I would have loved to spend some time at Red Rock Canyon, but the boys were well and truly 'natured out' by the time we got to Vegas! Interestingly enough, after fighting tooth and nail to spend at least 4 nights in Vegas, and being worried that it wouldn't be enough time, Ben was a bit over it by our last day and wished that we'd spent that day driving down to Phoenix to catch a flight from there

Our favorite interactions with the donkeys were actually a bit out of town as well. We found some near the road about 5 miles before we got into the little town and love feeding them carrots from the car. One got a little feisty and we simply drove away.

I get than and to be honest a (very) little of Vegas goes a long way for me too. I think heading to PHX would have been a lovely idea.

Frustratingly, Ben has recently informed me that after chatting with his mate the other day, he also would have loved to do more driving We honestly had no idea at the time whether he was enjoying it or not - he pretty much just sat silently in the back the whole time lol!
