Waitlist Ending???

When your waitlist ends 31 days before your checkin and it hasnt come through ,can you still modify your reservation if the room becomes available? If so what happens to the points if they are less than your original reservation?

I believe the extra points go into holding.

Yes

@jo-jo is correct. The extra points go into holding status, so they would expire at the end of the use year (can't be banked). Holding points can only be used to book something no more than 60 days before arrival.

Thank you. So then if you the reservation that was waitlisted is more points you can modify. If the villa that you have waitlisted is more points than could you use the 7 day canelation waitlist option?

Yes, the 31 day waitlist was designed with the idea of avoiding holding points in mind and the 7 day was the shortest that Disney was able/willing to offer and is good if the waitlist would take more points as you wouldn't risk holding.
