Waitlist - do day by day or wait for entire stay to be avail???

we're going to wdw oct 20-28th. I just booked it 2 days ago, BWV wasn't avail, but VWL was (we're satying in a studio) so I booked VWL, and put us on the waitlist for BWV.
I just called today for another reason - but I asked if by any chance BWV had become avail for my Oct stay, she mentioned 4 of the days were avail (sporatic days) and then said if I did it day by day I would have a better chance. should I switch the 4 days to BWV, and then keep trying for the other days, do you think I would have a good chance of getting all the nights this way? I don't want to end up not being able to get all nights at BWV, and having to move back and forth, moving once would be ok, but the avail nights so far were sporatic!

do I have a chance of getting the whole 8 nights on a waitlist, or better chance if I call everyday and see if any additional nights opened up and change them over that way!

yikes, very stressful! we're going for the food and wine festival so we really want to be by epcot!!!

I have done what you are asking several times in the past with positive results!

The chances are much greater for the "missing" days to open up than for the whole reservation to appear at once. I'd suggest taking the days available now and then call regularly (I don't think daily calls are realy needed at this point- maybe weekly until you get 2-3 months away.)

If BWV is where you really want to stay, then do keep trying to get the days you want! Good Luck!

The odds are much better for getting your nights by taking them as they come up, rather than waiting for the whole block. We have been on the waitlist many times, and do it this way, and have never been disappointed, although it has been close once or twice. But, that's because we wait 'til the last minute to make our ressies; you should have no problem since you have until October.

Thanks for your replies! I feel better now, because I already took the 4 nights that were available at BWV! that leaves 4 nights to go! the stressful part was that they're not 4 consecutive nights, they're sporatic, so that means we would have to switch back and forth! My dh would have a fit!!! (so would I though!)
I wouldn't mind switching once though!
I am on the waitlist for the 4 individual nights that I need though, and I will get them as they individually become available! (hopefully!)
I think we'll get it though, we have 6 & 1/2 months to go!!!
