Waitlist came thru- first stay at SSR!

The only question I have is: can we purchase DVC AP's at guest relations without the voucher?

If you mean guest relations at the parks or a location in DTD yes--you just need your membership card. They do not sell APs at the concierge desk at SSR.

We had a ton of waitlists come through, and some lucky calling (Just bought into DVC and got our points the end of October) to get our entire trip in a studio for the holidays at SSR!

we called on Nov. 25th to see availability at any of the resorts- nothing. So we chose to waitlist at Kidani (studio standard view) and OKW (studio). Called back the next day to change OKW to SSR (studio). We called 3-4 times a day to check. Some days they would have a couple nights available, but not all of them. Finally yesterday morning when I called to check availability, they said they had the 21st - 24th, but not the 20th. Then I asked for them to check our wait list. The CM came back on the line and said the wait list came thru for SSR, studio, 20th - 24th.

Congrats on your wait list. We will be there also during that time. Check out the Osbourne lights at HS their fantastic and the Christmas Processional at Epcot. Everything is great in the world this time of year with all the Decorations. We were there in 08 for the holidays and are looking forward to this trip. Have a blast and Merry Christmas!

Thanks for all the tips. We are starting to plan a "fungenda", so we don't miss anything.
Are there specific DVC resorts we should check out for the holiday decorations? Is the member merry mixer worth going to?

THIS IS WONDERFUL! What a Christmas present! I would have never bet a waitlist coming through for christmas week, with 10 days out would come available! CONGRATS!

Congrats on your wiatlist coming through. We had our first Christmas time Disney trip last year. We spent almost a full day just visiting the hotels and resorts to see all the decorations. We planned ADRs at the resorts so that we'd be able to see the decorations in that area. Grand Floridian was beautiful (and what a Gingerbread house)! BCV and BWV were excellant also. And we LOVED the way Jambo was done in AKV. Certainly there is a LOT to see.
