Waitlist came through!!

We are taking our first holiday trip to WDW 12/18-12/26. Staying at OKW (our home resort) in a studio. I called a few weeks ago to just see if there was anything available for that time at the Boardwalk, knowing full well that there was no availability. I asked to be put on a waitlist, just to see.

Well, today there was a message left on the machine saying the waitlast came through!! I will be calling first thing tomorrow and taking it.

Any thoughts or ideas? I have never stayed there and don't really know too much about the resort. We have visited at night though.

congrats on the waitlist - stayed at OKW in Feb and will again in October (our home is VWL). I'm sure you will have a fantastic trip.

Congrats on that waitlist! I'm sure you will love the convenience of staying at the Boardwalk - especially when the crowds pick up. It is so nice to be able to walk to EPCOT or the Studios!

Be sure to take the time to look at all the decorations in all the resorts around Crescent Lake - you'll be impressed. The chocolate and gingerbread items are just amazing!

P.S. There's always more activity on the Boardwalk when Disney expects crowds. If you haven't visited the BW during peak season, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Again, the convenience of being able to walk back to your room from an evening of fun just can't be beat!
