Just did a waitlist at POLY for Feb 25.....

Anyone have luck getting a waitlist for a WEEK there? lol

Just ONE lucky person would give me hope :)

Not sure how it works when they "open" rooms at the new tower

How long is your waitlist for? I have found it easier to waitlist 2 smaller sets of days. The waitlist is more likely to full 2-3 days vs 5-7 days.

So if you break up your reservation into 2 waitlists, one of both might go through.

Have had waitlists for a single day at Poly.

If you are open to moving intra-stay, it is a good idea to have a waitlist for a shorter day and waitlist to append to them.

The new tower will not full any waitlists submitted now, as they will be separate booking types. Now, if people booked in the current longhouses are able to switch their booking, your WL may fill. But all indications are that the new studios will be their own unit type -- the Deluxe Studio in the tower only sleeps 4.

I have a 2 bedroom cash that I booked for Feb that I plan to drop if/when points bookings become available for my room type/dates. So it is definitely possible that waitlist will get filled as people drop previous reservations as the date gets closer and/or once points booking starts.

Dropping a cash room won't necessarily (in fact probably won't) result in a points-based WL picking it up. Even after points bookings begin, cash inventory and points inventory will continue to be separate as far as booking is concerned.

Yes agreed - I was just saying that I think some people who have reserved the existing PVB studios with points may move their bookings to being tower studios booked with points. So the OP may be able to pick up a longhouse studio when people rearrange once points open.

Not a full week, but I was able to group 5 nights at a Poly standard view studio for October just stalking. First 2 nights showed up and then the others showed up one by one. I saw other nights pop up and could easily have gathered maybe 8 nights. But it took a lot of effort. I find Poly to be a relatively easy resort to get reservations with less than 7 months. It's the 3rd time I get nights there with my BCV contract - where I can never gather more than 2 nights in a studio if I try to book less than 7 or 6 months out.

Oh yes! You can call Member services and ask them to bundle all the days in one single reservation. They ask for 7 days to process, but in my case the following day I had just one reservation, not having to change rooms everyday. :)
Good luck stalking! :):cheer2:pixiedust:
