Waitlist ?? and advice please.

I am currently on the waitlist for a studio at OKW from 12-29/1/03. I am well aware of how busy that time is and I am wondering what you think my chance of success is. Do you think I would have more luck with a one bedroom or do you think that the fact that I was allowed on the wait list is a good sign?

We have a back-up room at AKL but really would rather be at OKW. I don't have much patience and not knowing is driving me crazy. Thanks for your help.

I think you have a chance because a lot of DVC members go early Dec because of the lower pts. You might want to tell MS you will take either a stuido or 1 BR so you have a chance of 2 types of rooms becoming available. We stayed at BWV last Christmas and I got those reservations about 6 mos out. You might also want to go on a waitlist for any DVC resort that becomes available for that time period. And you might have to be a little flexible with the dates but if you can be a little flexible I bet you get lucky at one of the DVC resorts. Good luck!

The fact that you are on the waitlist at all is a good sign . If you don't care if you get a 1BR or a Studio, you can always put yourself on the waitlist for both of them and see what comes up first. Good luck! NYE at WDW is the best!

Do you mean Jan 12 to Jan 29, 2003, or do you mean Dec 29, 2002 to Jan 3, 2003??!

Have faith in the waitlist. I am living proof it does work. We had a week booked at HH and I decided a few weeks ago it would be wonderful to spend some days over Thanksgiving at OKW. Each day became available except Thanksgiving day. It was driving me crazy - just when I was about to give up the waitlist came through! I am so happy I did not give up. It does happen if you have the fortitude and the patience. Lots of PD to you!!!!!

NYE night is the hardest to get in. You should make sure you have each night wait listed separately. You have a greater chance of getting the other nights, if you don't mind moving on 12/31.

We just got our waitlisted nights at OKW this past week . We were looking for a studio for the first weekend in December, and that is a really busy time, since it's right after Thanksgiving. If your heart isn't set on OKW, you might want to put yourself on several wait lists, and see what opens up. Just a thought!

The way I wrote the dates IS confusing. We will be arriving Dec. 27 and leaving Jan. 3. Sorry and thanks for all the advice.
