Waiting on ROFR

We had our contract submitted to Disney for ROFR on July 20th and are still waiting. We are paying $80/point, 70 point contract, October UY at OKW, all 70 points banked from 2005, 70 coming in Oct and 2007 still available of course. We are paying the 2006 maintenance fees and seller is paying all closing costs. We are currently non-members. What do you think our chances are?????

we just passed. refusal went out on 7-20, passed on 7-28. we bought OKW 250 points, our year is april, got all 2006 points, we pay maintainence fees for year and closing ( we used TTS) Good Luck!

Can't believe we finally are doing it!!! Just sent out a contract with OKW for 76 a point. It has all of 2006 points still available and April use year. We are crossing our fingers.

Can you guys tell me how long the entire process took to buy resale? I just sent an e-mail to the folks at TTS and am hoping to buy a resale I saw on the website this morning. It has points available to use immediately and we'd love to vacation in Nov/Dec this year (don't know if that's wishful thinking!) It sounds like the big holdup is Disney's ROFR?

Also, are the yearly maintenance fees listed anywhere? I haven't been able to find them, and want to factor that into my yearly cost to help make a decision.

I don't think you should count on going this Nov/Dec since most of the resorts are already pretty much booked up and there are waitlists.

There is availability for the dates we wanted, when I check online, at WLV. Are these rooms available for vacation club members, or is the DVC availability different?

DVC point reservations are totally separate from the availability you can see at disneyworld.com. Those are what are called CRO reservations. Sept. through Christmas look very popular with DVC members.
