Waiting on my world to change,really change!!

My husband's business is not doing as well as the previous years. he decided to apply for a very lucaritive position. He has interviewed and they checked all his references. They said they would let him know by Friday. Well, they called and said that it had become more complicated and the decision would not be made until next week. Patience is the word of the week. It is a great opportunity with many twists that accompany it. It is in Northern Alaska - 3000 miles away! If he gets it , I will follow him. Between the two of us we will double our income!! We are excited and a little apprehensive too. We have lived there before (22 years ago), so it is not totally foreign. We know what to expect. He will go within the month and I will follow in August. It is odd to try to process all this information and details. We are okay with the adventure and look forward to the big change. Haven't mentioned it to the children( all adults). We will be keeping our home and are hoping our kids will move in ( for free). Will update when we hear anything. Just needed to share. It is a secret until we know something definate.

Have you done a cost of living calculator to see how much your salary will really increase? As you know Alaska is REALLY expensive. Good luck with the job though.
