Hi everyone....Iknow long time no post.LOL. I have a question. I have booked a Kindani studio sav. view for the end of June for 2 weeks, I would like to know(since I just waitlisted) Does anyone think I will be able to get the 1bdr std.view kindani or the 1bdr std. view at Boardwalk. Any input would be greatly appreciated:) :) :) Just trying to learn the ropes and we have 400 points burnin a hole in our pocket!!!LOL

I think you're more likely to get Kidani. I'm surprised that you've had to waitlist for the 1 bedroom at this point. This is my guess, I'm sure there will be others. Here's some pixie dust to help you get whichever you want more!

I knew you would be the one that would help me out! Thanks for the pixie dust. When I talked to member services she said she didn't have a day or two for both, so she suggested to waitlist for either one. I think because our dates are for June 25 to July 7 maybe a little long for some DVCers. I only put Boardwalk because my son was excited to see his 1st star wars weekend and that hotel is rather close. Both are great and we are looking forward to trying a bunch. She also told me we could pay cash for weekend nights if i want to make my points stretch(for the future) I did'nt know you could do that. This is turning out to be alot of FUN!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Good for you. I agree with the BWV's location. We loved it for NYE. Epcot also has special fireworks for the 4th! We chatted with some people who said that they were wonderful too!

PS. Off topic...my DUnc lives in Gardens of Pleasant Plains, retirement community off of RT 9, and maybe 571. Your Toms River area of NJ is a lot more built up than it was when my DGP's moved there in the 1970s! Have you lived around there for long?

I know where that is LOL very very close. Very Very coldddddd today though!! The kids absolutely love the Fireworks in Disney for the 4th....every time we see them in seaside they both say " Why do we bother these stink!! We've seen them in Disney no one does them better" LOL I think they may be spoiled.LOL Hopefully the Boardwalk does come through so we can watch fireworks close to the room and not fight the crowds but if not I'll be asking for advice. Love talking with a fellow Disney Lover....everyone else thinks I'm just weird(obsessed with the Mouse)!!!LOL It's my escape from reality and I LOVE IT!!! The kids crack up at me trying to figure how to stretch the points:lmao: I'll let ya know what comes through! Oh and I'm looking forward to trying the F&G also! I'm a teachers aide so maybe in the future.:)

Oh my, I have a DGF who lives in Seaside Heights and she is always praising their fireworks...I just will never mention this to her! She's coming with me to F&G, we'll be at BWV. I sure hope there's a Wishes when we're there, that's my favorite "ordinary" Disney fireworks. I listen to the CD and just picture the sky at that time!

PS. Oh, we were in Cape May for this past 4th, and seeing fireworks without music and a theme just isn't the same. However, as in the BWV, living close to the action is wonderful...no traffic!!! Yes, I hope you get to F&G, it's during my spring break this year...it's starting very early for Disney and I'm thrilled!

Oh my goodness , she will be stunned and never look at the seaside fireworks the same. She will love Disney's idea of fireworks. Now I'm starting to get excited I'm sure one will come through we have 159 days left after all!!LOL

I think it is because of the number of units declared to date. So far they have 72 2-bedrooms lock-off ready. That is 37 SV and 35 STD. I believe that they can not book rooms until they declare more units in case of delays.

We are on the waiting list for a 2 bedroom Savannah view for June 6 - 12th. Any idea when they will declare more units into inventory?

No I'm not sure. I'm thinking as construction moves along they will let them loose. I'm thinking of changing my wait to a sav. view and might ask if I can pay cash for one of the weekends. It is a little confusing but from the pics it looks huge!

I see you list your dates starting June 25th - did you know that they moved SWW dates this year to the last two weekends of May/first two weekends of June? DNeph and I are going on June 24th - we were hoping for SWW, too, and booked a split stay for BWV and AKV since BWV is sooo convenient for SWW. We are very disappointed that we will miss SWW, but have decided to still make the trip and enjoy a few new extras instead - he asked me to check on BCV instead of BWV so he can have some pool time at SAB. Just wanted you to know about SWW dates in case you were basing your stay on that.

OMG, he is going to be so upset. Yes thats why we picked those days. Thank you so much for the info I'll have to find a way to break it to him. Thank you very much!!!!:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

You're welcome! That's just how we felt - we skipped last year's SWW after going together the previous three years and really missed it - so we planned to do it again. Now that he's in 4th grade and in the school play, playing sports, etc it is too hard to miss school and our schools don't get out until the 19th!
I am going to book LaNouba, Hoop-dee-doo, Mickey's Milestones tour and Sunrise Safari to help ease our grief:sad: ;) !

Thanks, thats what I'm trying also. He is in the 4th grade too. he swims 3 times a week on the swim team and plays the trumpet. So they seem equally busy and do well so this was a big treat. I'm going to try to book a safari as well, but what is Mickey Milestones he might like that and any other suggestions would be welcome. We can't go earlier either. My husband teaches music in school and is the creative director and I'm an aide and my 14 year old has exams so that's out for now. Thank you and I'm looking forward to any other ideas!!!1:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes he had his jedi costume ready to go:sad2:

Here's a thread that had a great review on the tour - it also contains a few links to other info on it: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=28376683#post28376683&highlight=milestones

Since the recommended age is 10 and above, I thought this would be a great tour for this trip - it won't be long before he is no longer interested in doing these things with me (I've gone through my own 3 growing up going to WDW and I know the 'teen' years come all too quickly;) ) - and we usually bring DGrD(5) along on our trips and she is too young for it. This trip is just for us so we can do all the 'thrill' rides and so he doesn't have to do all the Princess stuff (which he so graciously does for her:goodvibes ) this time.
You should consider having your DS wear his Jedi costume to HS and try to participate in the Jedi Training there - that runs every day (at least it does for now) - DNeph LOVED battling Darth Vader!
