We are still in triple digits before our next trip. Last trip was less than a year ago BUT still the waiting is killing us!! I check the boards every day for new info, I rework ADR list constantly and countdown days until FP+ day. Is there a 12 step program for Disney World???

I have 4 days till our next trip and the wait has been painful for me and the family. The biggest risk is all of the changes I keep making. We are so close we are all excited and it will eventually get there.

I do not think there is a 12 step program but do know you are not alone. You listed my life daily, but it is mainly just me as my husband is not nearly as excited!

Last year we decided at the last minute to surprise my 13 year old for her birthday at Christmas. We booked 2 weeks before we left, still got fast passes and most ADRs we wanted. Best trip ever because no waiting!!

Haha! My husband is already tires of hearing about it!!We are taking a girls trip this Thanksgiving. Just mdd 14,13 and our good friend who is in her 40's and NEVER been. Wish we were going at a slower time but with highschool aports it is our only off time.

I hate the wait. I love the wait.

Half of the excitement about Disney is planning. Picking your resort, figuring out when you're going, finding what you want to eat and where, which park do you go to first, how long do you stay in each park, when/where do you hop, how many non-park days do you want, what do you want to do on those "off" days, picking fastpasses. So much to plan! It's wonderful.

Then you get there and you blink and it's over. But I feel you, we started planning this trip 14 months out and we are to almost 5 weeks now. We were spontaneous once and booked the trip 3 weeks before we went (this was before MDE and FP+) and it was AWESOME because I had long enough to plan, but not long enough to drive myself crazy. Lol.

When we hit the 180 adr mark I thought the wait seemed interminable. Tomorrow starts our 30 day countdown and I'm almost scared it's coming too fast.
I hear ya. I really have to be careful about this feeling. I think it was Stephen Porter who wrote an article recently about this. He said you really need to avoid doing the "only 4 days left in our trip, only 3 days left in our trip" mentality. Which I totally get. I'm that way even now. "A month from now our trip will be over" instead of saying "3 weeks from now our trip starts"

The struggle is real.

I agree with I hate the wait and I love the wait! I love to plan and I love to move things around and tweak it here and there. We have changed resorts 4 times! lol But the waiting.......ahhh!!! I am worse than a kid on Christmas morning!!!!

Yes! My husband thinks I'm crazy. We just took our trip in December and I'm in that post Disney depression. Tentatively planned our next trip for November 2018, which is too far out to make any official plans. But that hasn't stopped me from looking into resorts and stuff. I love to plan but I hate to wait!

We changed 3 times, lol. Started at AoA, but I really couldn't bring myself to be stuck in a Little Mermaid room so far away from everything else. I wish the standard rooms were available in the other buildings like Cars (which my son loves). We switched to CBR which is our go-to. Then the Fun and Sun deal came out and only Pirate rooms had the deal, so we switch to POR for the discount. Then they announced all the refurbs at CBR and we were happy we switched. So POR it is. We've never been there (other than to walk around for a half hour) so it will be different. :)

We started at POR....changed to CBR....then to Boulder Ridge Villas and finally to a studio at AK Jambo House So I guess I am on my 4th resort, only changed 3 times also. Just seems like more! I think we are settled here although I am still debating a standard savannah view rather than the studio savannah. Not sure about the view on the 5th floor.

We have stayed POR several times. We LOVE it. It is so relaxing. The quick service dinning is good. We had great luck with the buses! On an off day take the boat to Disney Springs. You will love it!!

Maybe these boards are like a 12 step program for Disney World, as I'm sure many of us can relate. I am back from my early March trip and already wanting to go back soon. I'm also trying to think of more ways to bring the joy of Disney World into my everyday life.

And once you arrive at WDW, time flies by, and then it's time to leave :(

YES! We plan to do this and are super excited. My son in particular. He loves boats and buses. I think he likes those better than the rides (He is 3)

Not sure how far out your trip is, but for our time, the only rooms available at AKL right now are a bunk savannah view room. Things are booked up fast. But we are 5 weeks away, so not much time left.

We arrive June 12th. When I switched last Tuesday there were still standard rooms available. I think today they are gone. Which is probably a good thing so now the decision is made for me. We have never stayed at AK so I'm sure we will love any view. As with planning, I tend to over think everything!!!

I now have under 180 days left, so lots of youtube videos and research still, though most of it done already. Still have to plan FP+, I am excited, but once I hit the FP+ then I will start to get realy excited as only 60 days left, though 58 as it takes 2 days to fly to orlando from Australia
