Waiting is the hardest part......

Hahahahaha!!! I'm gald I'm not the only one checking the boards out everyday! My b/f has threaten to put a time limit on me for checking the boards. It's a good thing things like basketball games keep him occupied for a few hours so he doesn't realize how long I actually am on here!! ;) For me, the wait is being broken up by major events: I have a cruise (working one, I'm in the navy and about to go on deployment) to do and by the time I get back, I'll have less than a year to go, then it's my birthday, then Thanksgiving and Christmas and then my ship is changing homeports so I'll have to pack up and move, after that I'll have 6 months left in the navy and only 8 months until my REAL cruise!!:bounce: After I get out of the navy, I relocate to TX, get settled in, get enrolled in college and then my much needed vacation will be here!!! I can't wait!!!

WisconsinDisneyGirl,
I am on the Magic the week after you. If it wasn't for this group I would be going nuts right now! :grouphug: :grouphug:
Of course this is the support group!
Remember:
"My name is Nancy and I am a Disney addict. I am greatful for the support of all my fellow addicts." :grouphug:

My best friend says that I spend way too much time on these boards and I speak in what she calls "Alphabet letters" (better known as online abbreviations-WDW, DVC, MK, AK, AP, DCL etc. etc.):scratchin Hmm Have I become "bilingual"?
:rotfl:

But she is greatful for all the info that I get here!::yes:: :wave2:

The first trip we took was only about 6 months out, this one I booked about 18 months ahead of time. I don't mind it at all for two reasons.

1. Planning and anticipation is half the fun, I feel like im getting more for my money this way. :D

2. The price of my cruise has already gone up $500 ( that's only for 3 people in a cat 10, so it wasnt that expensive to begin with) since I booked and its still a year away, who knows how much its gonna go up by the time the sailing comes around. You cant beat early booking savings! I love saving money! :Pinkbounc

Oh, i also got a SPH room which I wouldnt have been able to get if I hadnt booked so early. So that also helps. :D

Here's something very scary :scared1: for those of us with this addiction.

Next weekend for 3 whole days, I will be without access to the internet!! :sad2: And, I will be on a trip with 100 students!!!:crazy2:

Whatever shall I do? :confused2 :confused3 :confused2 :confused3

Lorie

:scared1: :sad2: ..Musicgirl !! oh nooo... Cancel your trip ? / laptop ?? LOL.... :drinking1 Im sending you... DIS support and :grouphug: :wizard: while you are gone.....:sunny:

Sooooo... glad to know there are others like me!

I could have killed my husband the other night! He was working in LA, CA and called me to tell me he just got back from the World of Disney at Disneyland! Here I am at home in WI in the rain and cold and there he is at Downtown Disney at Disneyland! I guess he wanted to make me feel better by telling me that it was not as nice as WDW and that he did not feel the Disney magic (later he told me he did not feel the Disney magic because I was not there!--good one). Well, when he got home he had a little gift for me--- a Disney Italian Charm! I just love those things! So, I was not that mad at him after all!!

I'm similar to makaylee - we booked our first cruise in July and left in October - less than 120 days! It seemed like NOTHING. I felt I knew so much from these boards.

While onboard we booked for the week after that cruise - so we had 52 weeks to go. We made it, but it was tougher. Luckily we went skiing that winter and made a long weekend trip to Washington DC.

While onboard that cruise, we booked for New Year's this year - Oh MY, SOOOO far away - over a year! It still seems so far away, but I know when summer starts, it will go by too fast. The hardest part for me will be late Oct/early Nov when I think I *should* be on the ship.

I've already got ideas about re-booking for Oct 2005 - it will only be a 10 month wait (short!) and our kids get Fall Break where they get Thurs/Fri off so I don't mind pulling them out Mon-Wed!

Just wanted to make you all EXTREMELY jealous. :earseek: :earsboy:

KT, the evil one, who knows that he'll be the most depressed person in the world just 8 days from now when he steps OFF the Disney Wonder and back to life as usual.

am an addict too....and proud of it!

My counter started off at around 420 days......waiting is tough...but knowing you are going to WDW and/or a WDW cruise is what keeps you going!!

Another thing I love is that our WDW vacation has been paid off since last November!....Yippie!!
