Waiting for SWA to open its Dec/Jan fares thread!

We are waiting for Philly-MCO over the holidays. We have never flown this close to Christmas and the rates are outrageous. We also have a credit that we need to use from our Sept/Oct trip that we switched to Airtran b/c of a sale.

I'm waiting for BUF to MCO too. We are in Rochester, but, depending on the price, we might be willing to take an SWA flight out of BUF. Only if it is NS though as we can get decent flight times out of ROC, just not great prices.

For those looking for good rates from BUF, check out ROC too, it is an hour further down the road but for some dates the prices are lower here, for other dates BUF is better. Depends on the airline!

What dates are you looking for out of BUF/ROC? We are waiting for Dec 17 (BUF-MCO) and Dec 31 (DH) (MCO-BUF) and Jan 7 (me, DD, DS MCO-BUF) .

I booked my outbound flight this afternoon from MHT-MCO at the $79 internet rate. Am waiting for Southwest to open up further into December so I can book my return flight. I'm hoping to at least be able to get the same $79 rate for the flight home. Where I'm leaving on a Thursday night, wanted to get that flight locked in. Was afraid to wait, as the flight before the one I am on, has already sold out of 3 of the price categories.

I also have Ding on my pc at work. Right now it's showing discounts through November 17th. Hopefully, I'll get a Ding with a lower fare than what I currently have, but either way is fine.

Anybody think that if tomorrow IS THE DAY, will the newly released dates be included in the current systemwide sale (the one that ends tomorrow night)? If so, I will book tomorrow!!

Does anyone know if $107 is the regular fare from Buffalo to Orlando? That is the price now. There is a systemwide sale on until today and although my dates are not included in this (Dec. 4-10) I don't know if the $107 rate is a lower rate offered during this sale. I guess I want to know whether to book it today at the $107 rate or wait. The seats seem to be selling and I don't want to miss out, but for us to be able to afford this trip (our last for a very long time) I need to pinch the pennies. Although I know you get a credit to be used within a year if the price goes down, we won't be able to make use of it. What to do, what to do????????????????????????

What are they waiting for?????????? Christmas? (LOL) This release of schedules is way later than the last couple of years. Does SW enjoy torturing us? I am about to book with Delta if SW doesn't hurry up.

My bet is Friday, sometime around 10 to 11 am. At least I hope so. I have to buy four tickets from PVD to MCO and it's getting harder and harder to wait.

Someone PLEASE correct me if I am wrong, but with a systemwide sale, EVERY FLIGHT is one sale. Therefore for your dates:
Dec 4 $107 OW - Internet fare
Dec 10 $99 OW - Internet fare
These are actual sale fares.
After the sale ends tonight, the internet fares will no longer be available and you will have to pay for the next fare category (promotional fare price $109-$124 OW).
I could be wrong but I think this is how it works.
Maybe post this as a new thread on the Canadian board. Lots of DISers over there have flown form BUF-MCO with SWA.
Remember, if you want to book these fares, book well before (at least an hour) before the systemwide sale ends. I have read that often SWA ends their sale an hour or so early.

SW is killing me! I just got dinged for the Nov flights, I can fly from New Orleans to Orlando roundtrip for $82.11 ! Unfortunately, I need Dec 15th thru the 23rd!!!

I checked SWA several times throughout the day today and it's still stuck on 12/12. I already booked my outbound (12/8), but can't book my return (12/18) yet. I know it's still another 4 months away, but just thinking of getting to leave this for this is well worth it!!!

I looked at Song & Jet Blue out of Boston, but to do the flights I want is like $129+ each way. Plus the hassle of dealing with Logan, traffic, big dig, etc. is just not worth it. Takes us just as long to get to Manchester, NH as it does to get to Logan, but with much, much less traffic. Plus it's alot cheaper to park in MHT, than at Logan.

So come on SWA!!! Open those flights, please!! These DIS folks need their tickets!!

Will SW be releasing fares for only Dec/Jan or will we see February with the next round of fares?

I think I remember booking SW last October for February, but I am not sure.

Well, someone posted they thought it might be today around at 10 or 11 am....well, if that is Eastern then only a few more minutes and we'll know for sure. If it's CST, like me, then I can wait another hour to see...Oh, the agony!!!!
