Help a newbie, please!! Are the ADR's only available if you are staying on property? or have the dining plan? we do not have the dining plan. We are traveling 7/30-8/3...putting trip together for my 40th bday with DH and DD14.
Since we're traveling over a busy summer weekend, any suggestions on which park is least busy on which day.

Nope - ADR's are open to ANYONE. Just call 90 days before your trip. You do not have to have the dining plan.
Are you traveling over your birthday? If you are there on your actual Birthday - look into the Celebrate your birthday deal. You have to have proof it's your birthday - so look for the details on a stickey thread at the top of this page.
There is no such things as a busy park on one day or another. It depends on when EMH's are (Extra Magic Hours) and many other factors. So that is tough to answer.
You are going to have a great time - July & August are fun
I just found out that I have to travel for business and of course I am leaving the day I can make my ADR's !!! Why oh why! I am hoping to get a later flight so I can call before I leave! If not I guess I will have to have the hubby do it!!!
Help! I'm confused (easily and often)
on another thread it clearly stated that 90+10 was wrong and that it had to be 90 days prior. We are satying at CBR Aug 8-15 and I have never made ADR's before so I want to be sure to get it right.
It depends what you mean. A lot of people incorrectly say that 90+10 means 100 days before your first day you can make ADR's. This IS incorrect. What the 90+10 means is that 90 days before your first on-site arrival date you can make ADR's for that day (as can anyone - on or offsite), but if onsite, you can also then book the next 10 days of your stay as well.
So for example, I'm arriving on Aug 24th. 90 days beforehand is May 26th, so I can call that day and book not just for August 24th, but for all of the following 7 days of my stay as well. If you are off-site, then you would need to call each morning for the 90 day mark.

I get to make my ADR's starting on Saturday May 2.
I'll be in Disney from July 31 to August 15 with the first 6 nights at the POP and the last 9 nights at the Polynesian!
I'm anxiously awaiting the park hours. At least I can make the first 10 days of reservations on May 2nd and then I'll have to call back each day for the next 5 days to get it extended I guess. Pain in the butt!!
This is the first time we'll ever be there for more than 8 nights. This time we'll be there 14 nights!!! I'm so excited! We'll actually have 'off' days where we just relax!! That's never happened before. This is going to be amazing!!
Aren't you making yours on the 2nd? Are you leaving on the first of August? (Maybe I'm wrong, but you're 25 days before me, and I'm on the 27th of May. Or did I count wrong? )
