Hi, everyone! I got back yesterday from my incredible 2 week solo trip, so I thought I'd get right on to my trip report to try and keep the magic alive! Week one was a 7 night Western Caribbean cruise and week 2 was in Disney World! The title of the trip is referring to our "surprise destination," which I'll get to in a bit.

If you need some background info, here's the link to my PTR: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2333496

Here we go! :cool1:

First Vacation day from work: 2-18

Today was my first day off from work, even though there was no travel or Disney involved here. I am unfortunately the biggest procrastinator the world has ever known, I hadn't packed a single thing yet, had a couple of loads of laundry to do, and still had to run a few errands to pick up some last minute things. :rolleyes1 I will never learn!

Anyways, I woke up and immediately went into "go mode." I started my laundry, and began packing the clothes that didn't need to be washed. In an effort to get myself hyped up (like I really needed it LOL), I put on my cruise planning DVD for some background noise while I packed. I took a quick break to sign on to my computer and check in for my Southwest flight, and was given boarding number A-29. Woo hoo!

Once I threw my last load of laundry in the wash, I ran out to pick up a few last minute things - an over the door shoe holder (thanks, friends, for your great tips!), some travel-sized toiletries, and an extension cord. I also made a stop at my favorite salon - I can't travel to warm places without flip-flop ready toes!

Once I got home, I finished packing, and my friend came and picked me up. She was bringing me to the airport the next day, and she lives much closer to it than I do, so I spent the night at her place. We hung out and relaxed, and watched a little bit of the Olympics, including watching Evan Lysacek skate his way to the gold! I went to bed a little after midnight, and struggled to fall asleep - I was way too excited!

Friday, February 19th - I'm officially on vacation!!!

After months and months of planning, it was hard to believe that the trip was finally here! I woke up at 6:45am (eeeew!), showered, triple checked my packing, and headed out to the airport. I am SO a loyal fan of Southwest now - who can complain about no baggage fees? Also, since I had an early boarding number, I was able to score an aisle seat (always my preference) only two rows back from the front! I entertained myself on the flight watching "All About Steve," and before I knew it, I was in Orlando!

I had booked a room at the Hyatt Regency using a certifcate I bought online, and had checked in online right before my flight, so my room was already ready when I arrived. I was blown away by how gorgeous the room was! It was huge, with a beautiful bathroom, elegant linens, and a flat screen TV.

The balcony led to the outside, where I could watch the planes take off and land, which was pretty cool.

After exploring the hotel, I headed outside to catch the public bus to WDW. It was pretty early in the afternoon, so I had plenty of time to kill. I got off the bus at Downtown Disney, walked around for awhile, and stopped at World of Disney to get myself a "Disney 2010" hoodie. After leaving the store, I hopped on the Saratoga Springs bus to have dinner at the Turf Club. I had the Baked Goat Cheese and Tomato appetizer, which was to DIE for (sorry - no pictures of it. I was bad about taking pictures of my food, but I have some later on the cruise). It was basically a creamy tomato soup with goat cheese baked into it, served with toasted garlic bread to spread it on. Yum! I got the prime rib for my entree, which was also very good.

After I left the restaurant, I got another bus and went to the monorail resorts. My first stop was the Grand Floridian to go to the Basin and get some bath bombs. I know that there's one of these stores in DTD, but I just love the Victorian atmosphere of the Grand Floridian. It's so pretty! After I left the Grand Floridian, I got on the monorail to go to the Polynesian (another one of my absolute favorite resorts) and watch Wishes from the beach. I got there about 45 minutes early, so I found a hammock and just relaxed. It was perfect - quiet and peaceful, followed by a gorgeous fireworks show. I really couldn't ask for a better start to my vacation!

After Wishes, I went to the TTC and caught the city bus back to the airport. Once I got there, I explored the hotel a bit more. It was so pretty, and you really can't beat the location. I headed up to the pool and snapped a couple pictures of it.
IMG_0015.jpg

IMG_0014.jpg

I also noticed that the pool seemed to be heated pretty well - since it had dropped to about 50 degrees or so outside, there was steam coming off the top of the pool. So what's a girl to do? I went back to my room, changed into my swimsuit, and took a quick dip! Even though it was chilly outside, the pool felt very refreshing! Getting out was a little tough though!

After my dip in the pool, I went back to my room, repacked my luggage and day bag for the next day, and tried to go to sleep. I was pretty unsuccessful there - I was like a little kid on Christmas Eve and way too excited to sleep! I eventually nodded off, dreaming about setting sail the next day! :yay:

Enjoying the report so far - can't wait to hear more! i am doing a western next February and would love to hear about your trip!

Saturday, February 20th - I'm on my way!

I woke up super bright and early, showered, tagged my luggage, and headed straight for the Magical Express desk. They had a table set up for disney cruise desks, and I was able to check in quickly (no one else was down there yet). The best part was, I was presented with my Key to the World card and this:

IMG_0016.jpg

Yay! That was one of my goals for the trip, so it took all the self control I had not to do this:  in front of the nice cruise staff. I then grabbed a quick breakfast from the food court, and headed back to my room to relax before the first bus to the port. I watched an episode of Law & Order, then headed to check out of the hotel. When I had checked in the day before, they told me to leave my luggage inside the room by the door, and it would be picked up around 8:30. I was a little concerned checking out because it was close to 9:00 by that point, and my luggage was still in my room. I mentioned it at the desk when I checked out, and they assured me that I was on their list, and it normally takes awhile to collect all the luggage. I was still a little uneasy, but I put it out of my mind and went down to the buses.

IMG_0017.jpg

Before I knew it, I was on my way to Port Canaveral, and I could barely contain my excitement. They played a neat little video on the bus ride over there, which really helped the time fly by. All of a sudden, I looked out the window and caught a glimpse of the Magic. Yippee!

IMG_0018.jpg

Once we got to the terminal, I went to the security desk and got my "mug shot" taken. :) I then just walked around the terminal and took some pictures. It really was beautiful inside, and there was also a little outdoor area where you could see the ship. I had of course seen many pictures of the Disney ships, but seeing it in person really made me appreciate how gorgeous and elegant it is!

One of my favorite aspects of solo tripping is people watching, and Disney is one of the best places to do it! It's so much fun watching families and kids get so excited, and it's even more fun watching the kids become so excited and enthralled when they see Mickey. I watched the characters interact with guests for awhile, and the things started to happen pretty quickly. They boarded the family of the day and group 1, and then it was my turn! It was a little frustrating, because when they called for group 2, I had to fight my way through a crowd of people with higher boarding numbers blocking the entrance. Ugh! Even so, I was relatively close to the front of the line for group 2, and walking down the gangplank was kind of surreal. I was announced and applauded entering the lobby, and it really did feel magical - almost like I was someone important or something! A cast member directed me to Parrot Cay, but I went up to deck 9 and helped myself to some yummy food at Topsiders. The weather was fantastic - very warm and sunny! Even the cast members were talking about how it was one of the best embarkation days they'd had in awhile.

After I was finished eating, I gave myself a tour of the ships and was able to take some pictures while it was relatively empty. (Note: some of these pictures were taken later in the cruise, but this seemed to be the most appropriate time to share them :))

After my ship tour, it was almost 1:30, so I went to deck 7 rope the room rope drop. I had booked a category 12, but got upgraded to a 10, which was the perfect size just for me!

IMG_0054.jpg

IMG_0057.jpg

I laid down on my bed for a second, and started to realize just how tired I was! I actually dozed off for a few minutes, then just relaxed. I met my stateroom host, Tina, who was very sweet, and then got ready for the muster drill.

After the muster drill, I went back to my stateroom to drop off my life vest, and noticed that many staterooms already had their luggage outside. My luggage, however, was nowhere to be seen. I wasn't too concerned, as they said that luggage could arrive as late as 5, but I couldn't shake the image of my luggage sitting in my hotel room as I checked out of the hotel. Anyways, I decided not to worry about it and went upstairs for the Sailaway party. On my way to find a spot, I stopped at the Outlook Bar for a Seabreeze (aah, vacation!), and then found a great spot on Deck 10.

The Sailaway Party was fantastic! The Cast Members had an enormous amount of energy and really got you pumped up! They were soon joined by Peter, our cruise director, and the Disney characters, and then right at 5:00, we all heard the "Magic"al horn blow. I'd seen videos of the horn on Youtube, but it was nothing compared to being there for the real thing!

IMG_0065.jpg

IMG_0069.jpg

IMG_0072.jpg

IMG_0075.jpg

As we started to pull away, the party continued, but I went to a quieter spot on Deck 10 to watch us pull out of Port Canaveral. There were lots of people along the shoreline waving goodbye to us, including these guys with Mickey hands on!

IMG_0077.jpg

I headed back inside, and much to my relief, found my luggage outside my room. Phew! I got ready for the show and dinner, then went to the Walt Disney theater for the Adventures Away show. It was a little combination of everything - Broadway, characters, and cabaret acts (we saw some of the people who would be doing shows later on throughout the week). It was a great show and really got me excited for everything coming up!

After the show, I had a little time to kill before dinner, so I stopped in Treasure Ketch to pick up a few things I needed, and then went outside to watch the sea at night. It was a really calming feeling, and I could also see another cruise ship (I think it was one of the Carnival ships) lit up in the distance, which looked really neat!

By this time, I was starving, and we all know that can't happen on a Disney cruise! Luckily, it was time for dinner! Tonight's dinner was in Animator's Palate, which I was really looking forward to! I met my tablemates, Donna, Sue, and Kathy (hi, guys!) who were fabulous and wonderful to chat with! They are on the DISboards, as were many people in the tables around us, thanks to Shauna's brilliant thinking to link our reservations together!

We also met our servers, Gede from Indonesia and Passayou from Thailand. Here's a picture of them (taken on our Lumiere's night):

IMG_0243.jpg

They were WONDERFUL and made our dinnertimes truly special. They always seemed to go out of their way to make sure we were all happy, and always seemed to find time to chat with us even though they had several tables to attend to. I miss them!

We also met our head server, Mac, from India. Here's a picture of him (taken on Pirate night):

IMG_0284.jpg

We didn't see very much of him throughout the week, but he was nice. He usually just stopped by our table briefly to say hello.

Anyways, I had heard a little bit about Animator's Palate, and tonight was show night, so I was really excited! The restaurant starts off in black and white, and the pictures slowly change color as the different courses are served. What was really neat was that Disney music was playing in the background, and the pictures filled in their colors in accordance to the music. For instance, when a Beauty and the Beast song was playing, a Beauty and the Beast picture filled in their colors.

Some before and after shots:

IMG_0079.jpg

IMG_0082.jpg

IMG_0080.jpg

IMG_0083.jpg

At the end of the show, some of the pictures turn into TV screens and show clips from various Disney movies. Then, the whole restaurant becomes filled with color, and Sorcerer Mickey leads all of the servers (who've also changed their vests from black and white to color) in a parade through the restaurant - set to the music from Fantasmic. It was so wonderful and magical to see!

The food was delicious, too! For my appetizer I got the cheese tart, which was like a flatbread with cheese, bacon, caramelized onions and a balsamic vinaigrette. For my main course, I got pasta with a parmesan cheese sauce, topped with turkey and prosciutto. It was DELICIOUS! For dessert, I got the cranberry orange cheesecake. Everything was so good, and I pretty much waddled out of the dining room after that!

Once dinner was over, I'd planned on going to see Magic quest and Match Your Mate, but the non-sleeping-from-excitement combined with the busy day had caught up with me. Instead, I went back to my stateroom, and found this little guy waiting for me:
IMG_0089.jpg

I unpacked my things, watched a few minutes of TV, and crashed. I was in the forward part of the ship, so I could really feel it rocking, but it didn't bother me. Instead, it felt like the ship was peacefully rocking me to sleep. I fell asleep so happy to finally be on my Disney cruise and looking forward to the following day in Key West!

Hooray for Susie!!:thumbsup2 I love your pix!! Wish I took more!! Can't wait to hear how your trip went!

Sunday, February 21st - the epitome of relaxation and exploring Key West!

Today I woke up at 7:30am, and was a bit confused as to what time it was, due to the room being so dark! I never realized how natural light helped me wake up before I stayed in a room with no windows!

We weren't supposed to dock in Key West until 11:30 or so, which gave me plenty of time to relax and enjoy the ship! I ordered some coffee and fruit from room service, and enjoyed that while I journaled for a bit (now you know why my TR's so detailed!).

After my little breakfast, I went up to the Vista Spa to check out the Rainforest Room. I bought a 3 day pass, which seemed like the perfect amount of time. The 7 night didn't seem worth it since I'd already missed a day and knew that I wouldn't have time on all my port days, so the three day seemed just right. Since it was still pretty early, no one else was in the Rainforest Room yet, so I took the opportunity to take some pictures without being awkward. :rotfl:

These coolers had flavored ice water - one flavored with lemon and another with cucumbers. Both were delicious, but I especially liked the cucumber one.
IMG_0260.jpg

This was my favorite spot in the Rainforest Room - the heated tile loungers. Aah........
IMG_0239.jpg

To the right of the lion head were the scented showers. One was scented "tropical" and one was scented "fresh." I didn't try them right then, but I got to try them later in the week.
IMG_0261.jpg

The Rainforest Room also had a sauna, a mild steam room, and an aromatherapy steam room, which was my favorite. Aside from the scented showers, there was another shower with a peppermint scented mist, and a regular shower with soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided. The room in general was just a great place to spend a morning! I laid in the heated loungers for awhile, and also tried out the aromatherapy steam room. Fantastic! I actually stayed in there so long I completely forgot about the character breakfast scheduled for the morning - whoops!

After I left the spa, I headed outside to the Quiet Cove pool. I grabbed an empty lounge chair and read my book for awhile. The sun was shining down and it felt absolutely perfect! After laying in the sun and going for a quick dip in the pool, I went up to Topsiders for a real breakfast.

After breakfast, I went back to my room to get ready for the day. As soon as I was done, I heard the announcement that we were clear to go ashore (good timing!). I went back to deck 10 to take a few pictures of Key West from the ship, got off, and was greeted with sunny, 80 degree weather!

I hadn't scheduled any excursions in Key West, since I planned to do a lot of exploring on my own. As soon as I stepped off the ship, I found a stand renting bicycles and rented one for the day. I LOVED biking around Key West! It was so easy to navigate, and it allowed me to cover a lot of ground! I rode around exploring, people watching, and taking pictures for awhile, and then stopped at Hemingway's house. I loved Hemingway's house - we had a great tour guide, and it was neat to see his house, especially his writing studio with his typewriter in it. Another cool thing about Hemingway's house is that there are about 45 cats that live and roam around the grounds. Our tour guide knew each cat we ran into by name, and we were allowed to pet them. They were all very sweet kitties!

IMG_0113.jpg

After leaving Hemingway's House, I continued my bike tour of Key West and went in search of the Southernmost point. I found it, along with quite a long line. I hopped in line for a picture, and ended up helping a few families out by taking pictures of them.

By that point it was starting to rain, so I started back in the direction of the ship. I swung by the Hard Rock Cafe (because I love them!) and thought about grabbing a bite to eat there, but it was pretty crowded. I decided instead to go back to the ship and get some free (or at least already paid for :)) food instead.

I was surprised to find all the restaurants closed when I got back, but really shouldn't have been considering that they needed to get ready for the 5:45 dinner. I forget to use my brain sometimes when I'm hungry. :rotfl2: No worries, instead I went up to deck 9 for some chicken strips and fries from Pluto's. They were tasty and really hit the spot! I also grabbed a fruit tart from the Cove Cafe which was SO GOOD!

After my lunch, it was still raining, so it seemed like a perfect excuse to go back to the Rainforest Room. I relaxed in there for awhile (really, I could have stayed in there all day!) and then went back to my room to get ready for the evening.

My original plan for the evening was to skip the show and get back off the boat. For some reason, our all aboard time was 1:00am (instead of the normal 7:00 or 7:30), so I had wanted to go to Mallory Square for the famous Key West sunset. Unfortunately, the weather put a damper on those plans - it was still pretty rainy and cloudy, so there wasn't much of a sunset to see. Boo. It was disappointing, but I didn't want to get too wrapped up in the disappointment, so I went to the Walt Disney theater instead.

Tonight's show was Alfred and Seymour, who were two of the comedians that we caught a glimpse of last night. They were really funny, and I was glad that I was able to catch their show! After the show, they had a few rounds of Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer in Studio Sea, so I went there to check out the action.

IMG_0120.jpg

The show was very much like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, except with Disney related questions (and without the million dollars!). Some questions were simple, but some were pretty hard! I didn't get picked for the hot seat, but I did watch and enjoy a sense of pride that I knew most of the answers. :)

After the game show was over, it was time for dinner. Tonight's dinner was in Parrot Cay, and it was the Island Theme dinner. For my appetizer I had the Baked Crab Martinique, which was a crab dip with cheese baked on top. It was sooooo yummy! For my soup I had the cream of asparagus soup, which was kind of good, but a little too salty for my tastes. My entree was the Island Spiced Rib Eye, which had corn on the cob and twice baked potatoes on the side. For dessert, I had the lemon meringue pie. It was all delicious, and Gede and Passayou once again took great care of us!

Once dinner was over, I said good bye to my tablemates, and went to Rockin' Bar D for Heath Hyche's adult cabaret comedy show. It was hilarious, and he did an uncanny impression of Matthew McConaughey. I was also glad I didn't sit in front - he liked to embarrass the poor people up there!

Once the show was over, I wasn't ready for bed yet, so I went back to my room and changed into some comfy clothes. In my stateroom, I found a little stowaway puppy!

IMG_0129.jpg

I grabbed a blanket and went out to deck 4 to read and watch us sail out of Key West. I still had about an hour and a half until we were set to leave, so I grabbed a lounge chair wrapped up in my blanket, and read. It was soooo comfy and it was one of those moments that just said "relax...I'm on vacation!"

We left Key West promptly at 1:00am, and it was really awesome to watch us sail out! Since it was so late, there weren't many people out, and it was neat watching the lights of Key West disappear into the distance. After watching for awhile, I decided to call it a night.

Monday, February 22nd - a rainy sea day!

I had planned on sleeping in this morning, since I had no planned activities until brunch at 11:30. I woke up at 8:30, got my coffee from room service, and chilled out in my room. I flipped through the stateroom channels while I was drinking my coffee, and found a channel showing ABC shows, and there was an episode of Lost showing - yea!

After I finished my coffee, I started to get ready for brunch, and took my time getting ready. I headed outside to see what the weather was like, and saw this:
IMG_0132.jpg

Not the best. But I didn't care too much, because it was time for Palo brunch! I had been looking forward to this for awhile because I'd heard so much about it, and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious, and I loved the whole atmosphere of the restaurant! And get ready folks, because this is the day I started taking my food pictures!!!

IMG_0133.jpg

My server was Sasha from Croatia, and he was wonderful and attentive. He took me on a tour of the buffet, which had an overwhelming amount of food! There was a table of salad greens and vegetables, another with assorted seafood, another with assorted breads, another with fruit, pastries, and danishes, and finally, one full of desserts.

palobrunch.jpg

palobrunch2.jpg

palobrunch3.jpg

I hit the buffet tables a couple of times, and pretty much got the same stuff. This was my first plate: Jumbo shrimp, salad greens with sun dried tomatoes and balsamic dressing, asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and topped with a hollandaise sauce, and stolen bread (German sweet bread) with berries and whipped cream. I also had some sun dried tomato bread. All of it was so delicious! They also give you a complimentary glass of champagne.

IMG_0135.jpg

IMG_0136.jpg

IMG_0137.jpg

Palo also had a selection of entrees to choose from - both breakfast and lunch. They had eggs benedict, pancakes, pizza, and many different entrees. For my entree I had the chicken parmesan. It was served with risotto, and it was hands down the BEST chicken parm I've ever had!

IMG_0138.jpg

Phew! Sorry folks...had to wipe the drool off my keyboard there! :rotfl:

After I finished my delicious meal, it was time to hit the dessert table. I had two different kinds of fruit tarts, orange cheesecake, and dark chocolate mousse.

IMG_0139.jpg

Sasha, bless his heart, kept offering to bring me more food. I told him that if I ate anymore, they'd have to roll me out of there! :rotfl2:

Brunch was also lots of fun because a few of the DIS people were having lunch at the same time, so even though I was there by myself, I was constantly chatting with people. You guys ROCK!

After brunch, I went outside, and saw the sun trying so hard to peek through.

IMG_0144.jpg

I loved the days at sea mostly because it was awesome to look in any direction and see nothing but ocean. Love it!

Anyways, I changed into some more comfortable clothes, grabbed my book, and headed to deck 9. I read for awhile, and then at 2:00, they started the movie Enchanted on the Ariel view screen. I love that movie, so I stuck around to watch it. It had started raining again, but I was already wet from the pool/hot tub, so it didn't phase me much.

After the movie, I went back to my stateroom to change out of my swimsuit. Tonight was formal night, but I was planning on skipping dinner in favor of seeing Up in the Buena Vista theater, so I didn't have to spend much time getting ready. When I was done showering and changing, and I was starting to get hungry. Since I was skipping dinner, I ordered a cheeseburger and fries from room service.

IMG_0141.jpg

One of the stateroom movie channels was showing Fame (the new one) so I watched that while I ate.

After the movie, I decided to check out the walking/jogging track on deck 4. I was starting to feel a little nasty from eating so much over the past few days (especially with all I ate that day!), so it felt good to get a bit of exercise! Also, the sun was FINALLY out clearly, and it felt so great to look at the ocean while I walked.

Then, it was time for Twice Charmed, one of their Broadway shows. I'd been looking forward all week to their broadway shows, and this one did not let me down! This show is about what happens after Cinderella and the Prince get married. Turns out, Cinderella's stepmother had an evil fairy godfather named Franco who turns back time so the stepmother/stepsisters can stop Cinderella from bringing the other glass slipper. It was a beautiful show, and the performers were really top notch!

*Warning...short rant coming up! Also don't read if you want the show spoiled!*

The only thing that bothered me about the show was the ending. "Princess Cinderella" was clearly not the same girl who'd played Cinderella the whole time. "Peasant Cinderella" went down a trapdoor in front of the stage while the fairy godmother was casting her spell, and then a carriage appeared at the back of the stage and "Princess Cinderella" came out of it. It was all very magical, but at the end, when the cast took their bows, Princess Cinderella was the only one who bowed. I'm sure it was to preserve the magic for the kiddos in the audience, but as a former performer, it bothered me that the girl with such an amazing voice wasn't the one bowing at the end. If anyone's ever seen the movie The Prestige, it kind of reminded me of that.

*End of nitpicky rant!*

Once I left the theater, I made my way over to the shore excursion desk. I'd been thinking all day about my plans for Cozumel and Grand Cayman, and at the last minute decided to change them. The one thing I'd really wanted to do on this trip was a dolphin swim, and that was why I booked Dolphinaris in Cozumel. However, I'd also wanted to try out the Xcaret park, and the more I thought about it, the more I was disappointed that I hadn't booked it. I was assisted by a very sweet British guy named Ben, who was able to book me on a dolphin swim in Grand Cayman, and book Xcaret for me the next day. Woo hoo! :cheer2:

Feeling satisfied with my new shore excursions, I went back to my room to fix my room service order for the next morning. When I'd ordered my cheeseburger, I'd placed an order for my coffee the next morning at 8:30 the next morning. Now that my new excursion was meeting super early, I needed to change that - to 6:00am. Yuck! I was also unsure about whether or not I'd get a call before delivery, so I set a wake up call just in case.

I then headed up to the Buena Vista theater to see Up. I was so excited when I heard that this movie was going to play on the cruise, and was initially disappointed to find that all of the show times were either during the nightly shows or other activities that I'd planned. Luckily, I wasn't incredibly excited about formal dinner anyways, so that was the showing I went to. It was SUCH a great movie, even though the beginning nearly killed me and made me MAJORLY tear up!

After the movie was over, I headed back to my stateroom. When I came in earlier, I threw my sunglasses on my bed. Turns out, the elephant visitor in my room tried to steal them!

IMG_0145.jpg

I decided to call it an early night since I had to be up so early in the morning. I let the ship gently rock me to sleep as I dreamed about a beautiful day in Mexico!

I'll have to have my wife check out your info on the Vista Spa. Thanks for all the details.

And I thank you for all the Palo food porn. :thumbsup2

Haha, thanks Shauna! I love writing it! It's bringing back such good memories but at the same time miss it so much!

And actually, that was one of the only nights I stayed up that late...but it was enjoyable!

Your review is great! I'm still working on mine. I'd have a lot more time to do it if I had someone who came in to make the bed, fold the towels, cook my meals...I miss those guys!

Monday, February 22nd - a rainy sea day!

*End of nitpicky rant

I so agree with you on this! As the mother of a performer I wanted the *real* Cinderella to get her just due at the end of the show! And, as funny things sometimes do happen in life, I was unknowingly sitting next to the "real" Cinderella in the airport the day we flew home! While waiting for our flight, we were talking with some folks across the aisle who had been at WDW and were interested in our DCL trip. A young girl was sitting next to me and was obviously interested in our conversation, and after a while she joined in, telling us that she was a "performer on the ship". We asked what she "was" and when she told us Cinderella we were able to tell her how wonderful she was, and how we felt bad she doesn't get to take the final bow. She was an absolutely beautiful young woman who had completed her first contract on the Magic and was headed home to NH. We left the ship the morning you got on, so were on the "shortened" cruise. She told us a bit about that experience from a CM point of view.... very interesting!
