and sees what I did in the patio!!!!!! Poor guy!
Sometimes I get the urge to "fix" or remove something in the house that I no longer want, I always want to do it NOW. Sometimes, I will call DH at work and tell him what I am about to do, sometimes I just go at it and then surprise him when he gets home.
Today, I decided to remove an awning (the thing is huge) in the patio. This awning is lowered to cover the french door when we have hurricane warnings. The rest of the time is up and provides shade in the patio like a canopy. The good news is that we also have the anchors in place around the door to install hurricane shutters in case of a warning, so we really don't need the awning anymore. We had talked about removing it this weekend, but I couldn't wait.
So... I started the job this afternoon... The problem is that I can't figure out how to remove it from the wall that it's attached to, I don't see any bolts/screws (they must be covered or something).
I will have to wait for DH after all.
Wait till he sees what I did! I have done this with so many things in the house, he now just rolls his eyes. For this reason, DH swears that we will never own a chainsaw.
He is afraid of what I'll do with it and possibly kill myself in the process.
Maybe it's time to increase my life insurance.
I just can't help myself though!
