and sees what I did in the patio!!!!!! Poor guy!:teeth:

Sometimes I get the urge to "fix" or remove something in the house that I no longer want, I always want to do it NOW. Sometimes, I will call DH at work and tell him what I am about to do, sometimes I just go at it and then surprise him when he gets home. ;) ;)

Today, I decided to remove an awning (the thing is huge) in the patio. This awning is lowered to cover the french door when we have hurricane warnings. The rest of the time is up and provides shade in the patio like a canopy. The good news is that we also have the anchors in place around the door to install hurricane shutters in case of a warning, so we really don't need the awning anymore. We had talked about removing it this weekend, but I couldn't wait.

So... I started the job this afternoon... The problem is that I can't figure out how to remove it from the wall that it's attached to, I don't see any bolts/screws (they must be covered or something).:eek: I will have to wait for DH after all.:hyper: :hyper:

Wait till he sees what I did! I have done this with so many things in the house, he now just rolls his eyes. For this reason, DH swears that we will never own a chainsaw.:teeth: :teeth: He is afraid of what I'll do with it and possibly kill myself in the process.:faint: :faint:

Maybe it's time to increase my life insurance.:crazy: :crazy: I just can't help myself though! :hyper: :hyper:

Rita ~ you just sound like someone who can't sit still for one minute!! I just wonder if this is a way to get your DH to do something you'd like done & he's been dragging his feet??? ;)

Ooooooo... I'm a great one for doing things like that.. LOL

Let's see - when I was married to my first husband, he came home from work one day to find that we had moved into the apartment across the street..:teeth: Hey - we were going from a 3rd floor apt. to a FIRST floor apt. and I had to jump on it!

Another time - while married to my current DH - he came home from work to find that pretty much our entire bathroom was out in the driveway.. Ripped down the wallboards, ceiling, shelves, tore up the floor - you name it.. I was SOOOOO sick of that bathroom so I figured if it was gutted to the bare walls we'd HAVE to remodel it...:teeth:

Yep - that's me - bad to the bone....::yes::

Rose~:teeth: :teeth: How did you know?:teeth:

I showed him what I did when he got home and he said that I'm crazy. :crazy: :crazy: I can't argue with that!;) He wanted to know why I didn't wait until he got home... :scratchin :scratchin We're going to finish taking down tomorrow.:blush:

C. Ann~ Sometimes one has to take matter into one's own hands!;) :p

You women are all crazy:crazy: . My DW is the same, but most of the time she starts it and I have to finish it. I came home last Friday and my DW & DD re-arranged the family room:rolleyes: . This wasn't bad, but guess who had to crawl under the house, with all the spiders and bugs, to connect the cable:confused:

All you women must have the same gene in your bodies

Uh, Rita?????

Are we long lost twin sisters??? :eek: :eek:

Change the specific home project around (since we have no awning), and your post could have been written by me (since we have plenty of stuff that I want done NOW!).

I just read your post to DH and he had a look on his face that was somewhere in between sick and shocked. :p He frequently gets hit with "just a few changes" when he comes home from work. :eek:

UPDATE..........

DW just came in and said she wants the dining room table in the kitchen and the kitchen table in the dining room. I'll be a good husband, but I know that she won't like it and I'll have to move them back again:rolleyes: :confused:

we3luvdisney~ You're a good husband!::yes::

Judi~ What can I say?:crazy: :teeth: Tomorrow should be an interesting day... I'm sure that DH is already looking forward to it!:bitelip:
