I am taking my DD and her friend to MK this Sunday. We probably will not be there until 4:30 pm. The friend has never been to WDW and really wants to meet Mickey. Will it be a long wait at that time or should we wait and see him later that evening?

I'm guessing you are talking about Town Square Mickey?

From the sound of it this is important, I'd just go and wait. He generally is a lot of fun to meet/see, and it's a good meeting space, and the line moves pretty well.

You can get a fast pass to see him. But, we were there a couple of weeks ago and there was a 10 minute wait most of the weekend. I did see it get as long as 30 minutes but that was only once. (Assuming it is Mickey at town square in MK.)

We were there yesterday at about 5PM. The wait was about 25-30 minutes. I researched it ahead of time and that seems to be the high end of his typical wait time.
