For anyone who is there now or has been there within the past week what are some average wait times?? Also when do most schools start back up in southern california?? Does this effect the crowds much, especially in the morning and afternoon hours i'd assume. Thanks for any info

I've been here since Sat. Crowds have INCREASED each day which has caught me off guard- especially at DL. Yesterday at DL by 10am it was an absolute zoo in the left side of the park- huge queues suddenly forming outside of Indy, Pirates, HM and Splash. mouse wait already had the crowd level In The 70s. I think is it packed showing this week as it's alright backfired. CA was fine though- crowded but reasonable wait times for all but RSR which is expected. At 10am it was a 60 min wait for Indy and took 20 min to get to the ride w a fastpass. Today is our last morning and we are going to try DL for regular rope drop so we can try for Indy again even though we could also do ca Emr- we have done all the stuff we want for CA except we want to do another art class which doesn't start until 10. We are still having a fantastic time. We just work around the crowds and when they start to annoy us we go back to the hotel to play in the pool and return in the early evening.

I'm about an hour south of Disneyland and our local school district goes back next week. It looks like San Diego City schools don't go back until Sept 2 though. Los Angeles Unified went back yesterday from the looks of their calender. Back to school dates are kind of all over the place, but I would expect it to get progressively less busy in the next few weeks as more people have to be home for school prep.

I was going to say, my Mousewait app has been showing INCREASES in crowd indexes earlier in the day, and higher than I've seen them since like 4th of July. Which makes me even more nervous for my trip next week as this is my first time going in the summer!

I'm surprised to hear this, as the 640,000 local Los Angeles Unified students went back to school yesterday. I would think crowds would drop as a result.

Here now. CA was ok IMO yesterday aside from the usual RSR line and GRR. Didn't really see much over 15, Soarin and TSMM were around 30-40. Just FP Soarin.

DL has been crowded, but the lines come and go except for the headliners. Gave up on Matterhorn and PP as I couldn't get my fam to wake up early enough. :) . Otherwise just going with the flow, skip the long lines, usually can come back at another time. fast pace where available.

We are in a large school district 30 min south of DL and we don't go back until Sept 4th. The southern CA annual passes start being unblocked next week so I'd expect a lot of people to be going that have been blocked out for the summer.

We arrived last night (after a long drive!) and entered DL at around 8:30 - we walked onto Pirates and then waited about 5-10 minutes for Jungle Cruise and Star Tours.

Thanks for all of the updates. I'm guessing over the half marathon weekend it'll pick up a bit but die down during the week after?? and maybe the days leading up to the marathon weekend shouldnt be too too bad either.
