Wait times for November?

I read on a few websites that the time we are going (Nov 8-13) is a slow period. What does that translate to as far as wait times? Does slow mean right on/off the rides or a 20 minute wait or an hour..?

I've seen some horrifying pictures of the crowds at WWHP and I'm sincerely hoping that is not a 'slow' day!

Most attractions will have waits of under 30 minutes...probably less since it's slow during early November. HP is almost impossible to guess because it's always busy. Wait times should be under 45 minutes but that's only a guess.

Uh oh! We moved the last two nights of our WDW vacation over to Universal (Nov 2nd-4th) using an AP discount for a room at RPR, just so we could use the front of the line perk for onsite guests, to avoid the lines. Even with the AP discount, RPR room costs more than the bounce back room I currently have at POFQ, plus we'll have to either rent a car or use a town car service to get from WDW to Universal and then to the airport. If we stayed the whole week at WDW, we'd just use Magic Express and Disney transportation for the week and then use the Mears van to go over to Universal a day or two (It's just me and my husband, so Mears would be cheaper than a taxi r/t). We do want to see Blue Man Group one night though (probably Nov 2nd). Is it worth it to stay onsite for those two nights if crowds are not going to be that bad? I was thinking Halloween week would be crowded (but we'd be at Universal a few days after Halloween.:confused3

It's always nice to stay onsite for the perks but early November is not a busy travel period so having Express won't really benefit you like it would during summer or the holiday period. You'll still have some lines to deal with of course but nothing to worry about it. If you wanted a time to skip staying onsite, this would be it...that's just my opinion.

Isn't early November jersey week? We're planning on going at that time too because I'm a stickler for the kids not missing any school. New Jersey public schools are off the 7th through the 11th and alot of families head down to Florida.

Jersey Week does make the parks a little busier, but overall November is SLOW. 30 minutes waits are common for super popular rides, but most won't even go past 15 mins. Some will stay at 5-10 all day.

Black Friday/Saturday are horrifically super packed, though.

If Jersey schools are out November 7-11, would it make a difference if we go to Universal the 5th or 6th vs. the 7th or later do you think?

Would Mon (6th) or Tue (7th) be different from one another?

We are only going one day, so I want to make it the best day possible.

Thank you,

Dawn

Either day would be fine...Tuesday might be a bit better.

I hope it's not too crowded on Mon November 12th! We were hoping to do both US and IOA if possible

Jersey week is always the first full week of November.
We were at US last nov and the crowds were low, very low if you compair them to July.

Many NJ schools are only closed wed - fri during election week (Jersey week), so earlier in the week means less NJ people. That is our week, it's a good time to go, the end of the week gets really crowded when it coinsided with veterans day weekend.

Thank you. We will most likely hit Monday or Tuesday then.

We drive home Friday and I don't know if we will even hit any major parks on Thur. unless we have a Disney ticket left and are dying to go.

We have a wonderful Oct. 28-Nov 9 vacation planned. We will drive down Sunday the 28th and drive home Nov. 9, Friday.

We have 8 day Disney passes plus 8 vouchers for the waterparks and Disney Quest through the YES program.

Universal is a side extra we just decided to tack on as the kids really want to see HP. We got the Costco passes so we can go once per year for 3 years. Early Christmas extra for the kids.
