Hi! We are two weeks out from our trip so excited!
We arrive on a Sunday. We plan to be in the parks by 6:30, with dessert package reservations for F!
So we have a bit of time to ride first! We didn't get to Big Thunder last visit so eager to try it. How long a line would be typical on a Sunday evening? Is there a fast pass?
Thanks!

Fastpasses may still be available since the newness from reopening has now died down a bit.

If there are no FP, it should still be an easy and fast 30 minute wait.

The ride has a pretty high capacity, so lots of people can ride each hour. In the past couple weeks, I've noticed that lines are hovering around 25-40 min. Very manageable. With a FP, the line takes no longer than 10 min.

Yes there is fast pass. I was there on Friday, May 2nd. Our fast pass return time was 12:30pm and we got in fast pass line and waited only 5 minutes.

We were there on Sunday, May 4th. The wait time was 45-55 minutes during the day, but not sure about the evening. The ride also broke down in the afternoon. We picked used a fast pass, and the wait was less than 10 minutes with that.

We got on yesterday afternoon with a 15min wait which I consider practically walk on

If you're going to be getting to the parks at 6:30 - you're going to need to go straight to Guest Services on Main Street and get your dessert package tickets. At that point you really should be getting in line for F! seating assignments IF you are wanting a good view. Or have one person in your party stand in line while the others go ride. Then have them come back and the lineholder gets to go take a turn.

Also - the dessert box is AMAZING - it's at on of food so don't eat right before ;-) We had dinner at about 4:30 and both my 9yo DS and I ended up taking quite a bit of the boxes back to the hotel and nibbled on it the rest of our trip. It's definitely sugar heavy, very rich, and I found pairing it with the hot cocoa sent me into sugar overload ;-)

Get a fastpass for it, and also wait in line for it. It's a really fun ride, worth it to ride twice. If it's hot, don't wait more than 30 minutes as there was no wind down there yesterday in the line. VERY hot.

BTMRR usually doesnt run out of Fast Passes until pretty late in the evening, were talking maybe 2-3 hours before park closing. After the second showing of Fantasmic on a Sunday the ride is typically a 5-10 minute wait. Typical afternoon lines are 25-45 minutes, sometimes getting up to an hour but not that often.

The last time I walked pass today was about 11am. Standby was 45minutes and FP return time was 3-4PM. Much different than right after it reopened. FP would typically run out and the wait time was 120 minutes.

i think you'll be in ok shape if you ride it standby late in the evening, 10-11:30pm, even better closer to closing. It will be a fantastic ride at night, also. The line does move pretty quickly, especially if they're still running 5 trains. Check in and see if there's FP available when you arrive, if not, no sweat. You'll probably be looking at 30 mins or so worst case after F!.
