Wait times at Animal Kingdom

We all know that the wait times for FOP are insane. But what has that done to wait times in the rest of the park? Generally speaking, can you expect them to be reasonable at other attractions for most of the day?

More specifically: we have fast passes for the safari in the evenings. Should I consider cancelling them in order to be able to choose fourth and fifth FPs early in the day? We want to ride safari in the evenings, but can we expect short waits during that time? Insights, info, advice from those in the know would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

IMO, it hasn't really had a huge effect on the rest of the lines in the park. Maybe, if anything, raise them slightly because there are more people there. But in our experience, they were about the same. Safari is one of those attractions that is very "peaky". Small wait at park open, big wait mid-day, no wait later in the day/evening. In the evening, you can literally walk right on many times. Other rides are fairly similar...EE, for example. In summer, Kali is big time peaky. It's empty in the morning, then it gets packed late morning/early afternoon. But often by 4 or 5pm it goes back to a near walk on.

Last week, lines in the evenings were basically walk-on for everything except Pandora rides. We walked onto Safari 2 times at 6pm and 730pm. Save those FPs for other rides and you might even be able to get a same day safari

I agree with the others, but if you are going during a very crowded week, you may not be able to walk on even in the evening.
