For those with a hard limit, assume for a moment that the posted time was your 'max' limit when you got in line, but when your max limit is reached, you still have some time in line remaining (let's say you estimate 15 more minutes before you get on). Does not mater the reason why the time was off Do you get out of line at that point, essentially wasting all of your 'max' time up to that point, or do you see the delay through even though the ultimate wait will be outside your stated boundary.

My kids could wait much longer than I am willing! SDMT, FEA, a few others my kids would wait 2 hours for. My limit is 30 minutes. The ones that really get me are the character meets. My young DD wants to meet every character, and usually this involves a long line (with no FP offered, not that it would be the best use of one anyway) outside in the heat. I have a little more patience waiting for rides.

30 minutes for sure. One time we waited FOREVER for Jungle Cruise only for it to close down literally one ride away from getting on (because of rain or lightning). Then we waited FOREVER for Buzz and Woody at HS. We were actually there specifically for Woody because we had already seen Buzz at MK. When we got about 5 minutes away from the front of the line, Woody had to "go feed his horse." So, again, waited forever to be disappointed.

That depends on two things: how long have I already waited and how much longer am I estimating it will be? If two hours is my limit and I'm still not there at 120 minutes, I'd probably choose to keep waiting because I've already wasted so much time already that another 20 minutes can't possibly hurt. That's entirely hypothetical, though! I draw the line at a 30 minute wait. If we get in line and after 10 minutes have barely moved, we get back out of line and move on. I use the Lines app from Touring Plans and find it quite accurate. We've actually only gotten out of a line once after barely moving for 10 minutes (it was a character meet so we weren't able to check the wait on TP).

I've had this happen before - just once - and I would have left, but my husband insisted we stay. I don't like to wait more than 35 minutes for a ride.

We rope dropped Kilimanjaro Safaris in the summer, and I think the ride went down at one point, because the wait was 20 minutes when we entered, but we ended up waiting 45 minutes. I *really* wanted to leave, but my husband viewed it as wasted line time, as you said, so we stayed.

Generally about half an hour is the longest we wait in line. That being said, we go for longish trips, so we usually have the opportunity to catch whatever ride it is when the line is shorter or FP it. FOP I personally would be willing to wait about 90 minutes for, but that is because we have been to AK several times and I wouldn't feel like I would be missing out on something else by waiting in line all of that time. We'll be there next week and I am hoping that we luck out and somehow don't have to wait forever. I'm not sure the rest of my traveling party is even willing to wait as long as I am!

I will FP it and no more than an hour. Hopefully be Dec it will die down and be more like 25 minutes tops. Lol.

30 minutes is my limit - either FP or skip HOWEVER for something new - I might extend that to 45 minutes.

The longest I ever waited for a ride was 45 minutes for 7DMT at rope drop. That was my limit for sure

If I had an AP or was able to go all the time, an hour would probably be my limit. I once lived near Kings Island and on busy days it was not uncommon to wait an hour or so for the Beast. It stinks to be in line for an hour when I consider the uncrowded days when you could walk right up and get on!

The longest I've ever waited for a ride was probably 3 hours at Cedar Point for Millennium Force or Top Thrill Dragster. The lines there are ALWAYS long, though, so if you pay to get in and you set your limit for 30 minutes, you'll get to ride the Ferris wheel and that's about it.

At Disney, though, my limit will probably be about 90 minutes. It's too expensive to miss out on headliner attractions, but also too expensive to spend the entire trip in line for FoP or FEA, lol.

It really depends on the ride and how many days we are there. If we are only gong to each park once, I wouldn't spend a lot of time in line. We are going for 14 days at Christmas so I would have no problem waiting a couple hours to ride FOP. I wouldn't wait more than 20 minutes for a ride under 2 minutes (waited over an hour pre fastpass for Dumbo once). A ride like Splash or Soarin I would wait up to 45 minutes for. Of course going at Christmas I will probably have to adjust my standards!

It just depends on what I have planned for the day.

If I am at Disney for two days, I don't want to wait longer than 30 minutes for any ride.
If I am there for a week or so and just want to experience a super new ride? I'd wait 90+ minutes.
If I lived in the area and had an Annual Pass .. I would wait whatever it took.

In most cases if I approached FOP and saw 120+ minutes .. I would just turn around, go do something else and try again later. It just shocks me how many people (more than are exiting) get into the line when it is already 2 hours plus.

We usually go with a guide to minimize our wait time. However, we have a long standing joke that the kids need to wait in a long line at least once every trip. I think we did over an hour for Test Track last year as our long wait. One year there was an "issue" with Rapunzel and we ended up waiting for her for well over an hour, but in that case we were inside, were able to sit on the floor, and the kids were playing games on an iPad.

My limit is about 10 - 15 minutes ( every now and then depending on the ride I can do 20) I have been know to get out of line at the 15-20 minute make no matter how close I am to the ride, I have done this on space, FEA, BTMRR, and 7DMT, but I do have. disability and know my limits and will just leave if need be, I normally talk to the the CM on the way out and explain my need and they normally just give me a rider swap to come back when I am able too

no more than 20 min no matter what. there are always FPs and you can ride during fireworks or end of the night.

In other news, if you are in WDW and reading this and there's still a 400 something minute wait? Hit the other parks, they're more than likely empty!

I looked at the MDE today and saw 220 minutes at one point. In fact MK was pretty busy with 80 for Space Mountain and 70 for Pirates! I wondered if they were getting thunderstorms and everyone ducked into a line?

Our FP window is 30 days since we're staying at SOG so I'm not expecting to get one for the river ride, but we are planning to go to AK on an EMH morning so we may just head straight there and see how long it is. Otherwise, our longest wait has been about 70 min for Soarin the first time that we went back after it opened. DH absolutely will not wait more than an hour for most rides. No way would we ever wait more than about an hour anymore. We don't plan to do FOP mainly due to motion sickness issues.
