Wait-listed Any Hope

We are on the waiting list for HHI in April (9-14). Does anyone have any experience (positive or negative) to help me know if I have any hope of getting something or not?
Such as, is there a specific time when units available for cash are made available for points?

I assume they wouldn't leave space unoccupied when members are waitlisted, but I don' know as I am a new member.

I'm pretty sure that I have read here that you must call at 30 days to be sure that you are still on the waitlist, and then at 7 days, call every day because...if I remember, there is no waitlist. Don't give up, people have gotten in at the last minute

Cash reservations come out of member inventory, not CRO inventory. You could always try CRO and pay cash to them.

We were waitlisted for HH last year and got the call about 7 weeks prior that we were in.
Bobbiwoz has good advise too.

I realize that. I was just curious if the CRO inventory was ever transferred if they weren't reserved for cash. That would seem to make more sense than leaving a room open.

I'm not sure from your post how long you were on the waiting list. I made reservations at 6mos out for a 2BR, but missed the 2nd unit I wanted by hesitating. So I waitlisted for the studio for a friend and took a cash reservation. All but one of my days has come thru.

I waitlisted day by day and they came up off the waitlist that way as well - about two weeks ago. I had one more day which I thought was waitlisted - but when I called today it had disappeared....because I forgot to call back under 30 days. I had a cash reservation still for that one day - so all's fine. And I was able to add a day (studio) on 4/14. There was some availability that week for 1 and 2BR's.

The week you're looking for is Easter week and probably a heavy vacation week. Our school vacations are a week later this year.

I have been waitlisted sooo many times and ALWAYS been able to get my ressie ...even two times the week of Christmas...so sending tons of pixie dust your way!!!!
