wait list?

Hi, everyone. Using DVC for first time in November. We are wait listed for 2 night at either GF or Poly. Has anyone had their wait list granted??

I haven't had any luck yet, had SSR and OKW wait listed for a w/e in Nov, but have secured reservations for AKV by checking the website frequently.

Some folks are lucky and get them, but not me. I been waitlisted for a single day at 2 resorts for months and nothing. I average 1 out of 10 waitlist and my waitlist are never more than 1 day. Good luck and have a backup plan.

Thanks, we have a backup plan in place. Stay at Kidani Village first 2 nights, then over to the GF for 2 nights.

Not sure about November wait lists, but I got BLT in April the week after Easter fairly quick. Which surprised me, since that is spring break for so many people.

Had Nov 5 waitlisted for a couple of months at SS, and it just came through yesterday. I know that was a night that had no availability at any resort in any room size for a while, but it just came through. Had backup plan for BLT previously, but that cancelled when SS came through. Good luck, hope it works out for everyone.

There are no absolutes when it comes to waitlist success. It's all about the specifics (popularity of dates, popularity of resort, size of villa being sought, how long you wait to get onto the waitlist, etc.)

November features the Food & Wine Fest, Food & Wine half marathon and "Jersey Week", just to name a few events that can bump demand.

Every waitlist success story starts with a cancellation. And the room goes to the first person on the waitlist. Sadly there's no way of knowing how many others are waitlisted for the same dates/resort/room size, nor how many cancellations will occur.

I am new to waitlists .... I have 3 nights booked at BWV 2 bedroom in Nov. I booked 2 studios for our 4 th night and waitlisted to get a 2 bedroom for our last night .... I think my waitlist happened today! I got a confirmation and its for a 2 bedroom on that date! I am super happy we will not have to move for 1 night I went to check my DVC and I do not see a waitlist but I do see a conformation # ..... I am new to this but hopefully I am right in my thinking!

I had a waitlist come through for Boardwalk within a few days for 2 days. I am planning to waitlist 2 days in December for either Poly or GFV, which would I have a better chance of getting? I am also waitlisting WLV because that is where we are staying for most of our trip.

I was lucky to get OKW on Dec 30 come through via a wait list. However then I booked BLT for that night so that we could see the fireworks from TTOTW.

2 1 night wait lists came through for my upcoming July trip. July 2 came through at BLT and July 12 at VB. Both of those were great to have come through since I had holding points!! A family member had cancelled last minute for a June trip.
