Wait list ?

We are wait listed for a couple of properties and our trip is 45 days away. At what point should I just plan on being at the resort that we are currently booked at? Also should I make room request now or wait to do it at the 10 day online check-in?

From what I've read on the boards BCV D2BR and BLT standard... Hope you like your booked resort.

BCV is hard to get and BLT standard very hard because of the lower points.

That's what I thought.

We are booked at VWL. So we really have nothing to complain about. I just love the location of BCV and thought trying out something new at BLT would be fun.

I'm afraid kdepot is right, both of the rooms you wait listed are very hard to get. But somebody might cancel or their WL might come through, you never know.

I would recommend that you call in to MS and make your room request for your booked reservation. We we did our online check in late February the system had a spot for us to add requests, but it wouldn't accept any. When you check in you can confirm that your room request.

VWL is the smallest DVC - but you can still have quite a hike from the elevators to your room. This is the one I own at so have stayed quite often. I love the DVC pool with the "bubbling" hot springs. It's very peaceful and quiet here.

I had a WL for BCV come through 5 days before arrival 2 years ago. This of course is during the period that you have to keep calling and checking but I did get it. My daughter had broken her foot and was in a wheelchair so being at BCV and being able to walk into MGM (it will never be HS to me can't get use to the new name) and EPCOT was really important to us. I don't know if MS pulled a magic trick for us knowing the situation or if they were just tired of talking to me every day but I am still grateful 2 years later.

There is no guarantee, but don't give up hope! I have been very lucky in getting the villas I want on a wiatlist. The time of year and length of stay factor in. Make sure to tell them you want to stay on the waitlist up to the 7 day mark. If it does not come through by then, call every day, several times a day under 7 days. I was successful 3 out of 4 times calling under the 7 day mark. Good luck!
