Wait List with David's for BLT

Even OKW has one sold out night for studios near the Hospitality House for Marathon weekend.

Now that you mention it, OKW was one of the 2 BR with a fairly short wait list. I started comparing costs and realize how quickly the cost for a weeks stay has crept up. I started out at $3,666 for 2 studios at Poly, then considered a 2 BR for $4,304, and now am waiting for a 2 BR for $4,700. I really would like to spend closer to $3,200. Of SSR, OKW, and AKL which are manageable? OKW sounds the best, especially since there isn't a wait, but I'm worried that renovations will be underway when we go. Ugh! Just when I thought I figured this all out. There's a big difference between $3,300 and $4,700 and I'm not sure being next to MK is as important as I first thought.

I think OKW would work well for you - it's a great resort with large rooms and unbeatable porches - very relaxing! If David's has the points - I would definitely go for it and save $$ and stress waiting for other points to show up. I also would not be concerned about construction - we've stay at DVC undergoing renovations plenty of times - most recently WLV - Never bothered us in the least...and with the way OKW is laid out - there's a good chance you won't even be that close to whatever building or section they're working on during you stay there.

Do the 2 BR at OKW have 2 queen beds and a king bed? How long does it take by bus to get to the parks?

At OKW, they usually just block off a building at a time, so there is very little disruption to anyone else.

Yes, whether lockoff or dedicated.

Thank you! This is helpful. The main reason I was looking at BLT or even VWL was proximity to MK and thinking we could easily go back to the room to eat at least breakfast and lunch in the room, but with the amount of money we would save by staying at a more remote resort we could afford to just eat at the parks. I will definitely have to take a better look at OKW.

Yes - OKW has a king in the master and 2 queen beds in the second bedroom - there's also currently a pull out sofa and a sleeper chair as well. Bus isn't bad - it's not shared with any other resort - with the $$ you save - you could rent a car or Uber for transportation and still be way ahead of the game...maybe even add the dining plan

We nearly always eat breakfast in the room before leaving in the morning. We often go back to the resort in the afternoons to avoid the hottest/most crowded parts of the day. That's easy to do no matter where you are staying.
