Wait list question

The trip we have planned for Oct. just to bigger! We are now thinking we are going to need two rooms. We have the first room booked at Boardwalk but now need a second room. I went on DVC's website and noticed only Saratoga Springs is open (which I kind of figured would happen). We've stayed at Saratoga Springs many times and it's not one of our favorite hotels. (Of course, it does mean we are still at Disney so we can't complain) We are looking at wait listing for a room and praying for some pixie dust. I'd love to get Beach Club but I've heard that's near impossible to get off the wait list. So my question is what resorts have the best chance of getting off the wait list? I was thinking of doing Animal Kingdom because we could get 3 of the 5 days needed but the two days that we wouldn't be there are days 2 and 4 so it would be too much hopping hotels if we couldn't get the other dates.

Has anyone had any luck getting off wait lists this close to a planned trip?

The sooner you get on the waitlist the better! I would book SSR and waitlist BWV pool/garden view because there are many of them, and whatever AKV room has those days available now. They're not going to keep those night available, but still, that's what I would do.

Unless you want to be at SSR together.

Nah, we don't care about being together. We are just don't care for Saratoga Springs because of how spread out everything is (however the bus system usually is pretty fantastic so it does have it's benefits.)
