Search doesn't seem to be working, so sorry for a question that has most likely been asked many times before.

How does it work when you are wait listed for two resorts?

I'm currently booked for a studio at SSR for my June trip and wait listed up to 7 days prior to arrival, for a studio at BCV. If I added a wait list for a studio at BWV would that possibly mess up my BCV wait list, which is my first choice.

What I mean is that if the clouds parted and the pixie dust happened for me to get the BCV studio (my 1st choice) and then the BWV studio became available, would Disney cancel the BCV and move me to BWV?

I hope that question makes sense.

Thanks so much.

Bumping. Similar question....

If above poster gets BWV FIRST, does her BCV w/l end or stay?

You can have up to two active wait lists per use year at a time.

So during your 2010 use year, you could have a waitlist for a studio at both Boardwalk Villas and Beach Club Villas. Whichever wait list matches first will do the following:

1) Cancel your SSR reservation and book the matched wait list
2) Cancel your other wait list.

So if you got the BCV wait list first, then it would cancel your SSR reservation and cancel your BWV wait list.

If you got the BWV wait list first, then it would cancel your SSR reservation and cancel your BCV wait list.

It's just luck of the draw as to which one will get matched first.

One thing you could do is just keep checking the member website. If you notice that you get your BWV wait list before your preferred BCV reservation, then you can call to redo your BCV wait list. If you happen to get the BCV wait list first, then pack your bags, cause you're going to Disney World!

Keep in mind that if the BWV room comes through and you call to put BCV back on the waitlist, you'll be back at the bottom of the waitlist.

Ok, but since we've been on the WL for 2 resorts, does this mean I can't WL BCV again for this same ressie?

I'm not sure I understand the question, but what I believe you're asking is if you "use up" your two waitlists for the use year with the first try.

Waitlists don't work the same way as point transfers, where you get one per use year.

The waitlist restriction is that you can't have more than two active waitlist requests in the same use year.

So, any time a waitlist is fulfilled or cancelled, you can create another one. There's no limit to the number of waitlist requests you can have during the course of a year (or on a specific reservation), you just can't have more than two that are active at any given time. In the example stated, if one of the waitlists comes through, automatically cancelling the second, you could immediately add two new waitlist requests. However, when you do so, your new waitlist goes to the bottom of the queue. Anyone else who is waiting for the same resort/room type/date will move ahead of you.
