Wait list at The Grand Californian

So, I accidentally deleted one of our reservations for the runDisney/Labor Day weekend. I have no idea how, I just noticed that we had more points than we should have. I called customer service, but they can't do anything about it.

Has anyone had any luck with a waitlist for the Grand CA? I've already booked a hotel just in case since we are running in the race.

Just sad because I don't know what happened.

I haven't really had much success with wait listing. I'd go ahead and wait list what you need but also make alternate reservations.

I've had 3 wait lists come through and managed to book a night that showed available for the date we wanted they were all for Sept though 1 night was for a studio and the others were for a 2 bedroom

Other than the holidays, I think that weekend is one of the most popular at VGC.

You MIGHT have a shot with a wait list, but to be safe you should probably make an alternative reservation somewhere else.

Our two GCV stays this year were from waitlists including this coming weekend (Memorial Day). Best wishes on resolving your situation!

Too bad your cancelled reservation didn't fill my waitlist. We're also WL'ed at GCV for marathon weekend as well as GCH for a possible room if it were to open up. I'm not holding out much hope.

Right now we're at the Doubletree.

There is a Friday night 2 bedroom available (88pts). Not too helpful but gives me a little hope that more might open up!

Guess I am lucky. Got a waitlist last year for one night in studio. This year got our waitlist for 4 individual studio nights and a 1 bedroom. Also was ablw to get a couple waitlist at Aulani also.
