Wait List affect on Dining reservations

I have a confirmed reservation and I have a wait list for the same dates at another resort.

IF the waitlist comes through, I understand that the dining plan will be cancelled and $$ refunded.
But what about dining reservations at each restaurant? Is each dining reservation affected?

Reservations are separate and not connected to any dining plan.
