What is night of Joy?

Night of Joy is a night where a bunch of Christian singers/groups perform in DHS at a hard ticket event (think MNSSHP). There are several groups performing that we would really like to see, Peter especially would LOVE to see P.O.D. We've seen Jars of Clay before and really enjoyed them. I think Newsboys would be great. I really like Grits too. I'm familiar with most of the artists. It would be such a good time to go.

We don't really do too many concerts any more. It's just difficult with Bolt. We saw Toby Mac when he came through. So good. And we saw Third Day and Jars of Clay do their Christmas concert. That was really good too.

Of course, if you don't listen to Christian music, these names are probably very unfamiliar. If you are unfamiliar, the bands are a good mix between what you might call adult contemporary to hip hop to rap to hard rock. It would be really great to see them all in one venue.

That would be awesome if you were there over spring break 2010!!! We are working on a trip (me and B/F) with xoktenox and her B/F.

We have annual passes and love them. Don't ask me about prices and all that because dad does that, but I think we are getting our money's worth! We go every year so we always use them!

I keep checking to see if I can get a room without bunkbeds and YAY! they had Woods View available. Not courtyard, which is OK. So I made the change and saved about $200. Then I officially upgrade to the DxDDP!

I told Peter at lunch and he seems more enthused about the woods view than trying for a courtyard view.:confused3 Tinkgurl, you had said that would be a nice private feeling balcony, so I'm thinking we are good to go now! No more checking on the website to make changes. Whew.

I just need to call back and add my room request to my ressie. I couldn't when I called because I was in a rush because of what happened last time... I am excited about the northside woods view rooms. You can see the castle from some of them. I am totally hoping for THAT!!! I'm sure it's a distant shot, but still...how cool would that be to see the fireworks AT ALL from your room or balcony?:cloud9:

And I got the official word on the date I can call in to make my ADRs. March 22!!! It's a SUNDAY!! YAY!:yay: No having to worry about getting Peter off to work or Bolt off to school. I can have uninterrupted phone time at 6:00 am!!:woohoo:

The CM I talked to said that the wait times were only running 12 minutes when I called in. She said that a lot more CMs were getting trained on the new system. Infact, she was scheduled to train soon. So all of us needing to call in within the next few weeks should have a better time of it than the ones who had to call right when the new system took effect.:thumbsup2

***I have been remiss, absent from your report for a few days*** Sorry! I am back now!

You switched to a woods view! Yay! That sounds like fun! Just like a cabin in the woods. :) Your ADR ressie date is coming up fast! :hyper:

I have been absent too! I've been busy reading all these other reports that everyone finally got started on!;)

Yeah. I'm almost surprised by how excited I am about the woods view.:confused3 Funny. And yes! 17 days to ADRs!!:hyper:

Congrats on chaning the room and SAVING money! :thumbsup2 All that was left when we booked was Waterview at CSR, which we could care less about - but so far nothing is available there - so I'm still playing the check the website game.

I was one of the lucky ones that booked that weekend they were switching over. DH said go ahead and book Fri night and I had to wait until Sunday to book becuase they were closed for upgrades. KILLED ME! ADRs were a LONG time too. Plus I got the wrong info. :rolleyes1 CM told me my window opened up 45 days out and calculated 46, so I was a day late. But it all worked out - except CM, but that was all. I got a 7:55pm - which is REALLY late for us, but DS birthday - so what do you do?

Anyway - congrats again!

I was over on Tarah's PTR and she was talking about her great shoe buy and I just have to share mine!:goodvibes

I have a wider foot that isn't necessarily a WIDE.

Shopping for sandals is like :headache:  because I always want to get strappy looking sandals, but I can't ever fit my feet into them.

So I end up wearing flip flops a lot. Which are comfy. I like them. But they really aren't the best shoes for your feet.

Long story short, I found a great pair of sandals at REI last weekend. They look kinda strappy. They have a sport shoe type sole and are a nubuck type upper. They are super duper comfy! Perfect to wear to Disney. Kinda pricy. But I got them anyway...

So I look online and I found them in many other colors. On clearance. And then I found the light brown ones that I bought for about $12 cheaper at shoebuy.com. I found a code (BDAY) for 20% off at shoebuy. Hurry it expires TODAY! I became a member at shoebuy and saved another 10%! And ended up saving $30 over the cost at REI!:thumbsup2

With encouragament from Peter, who knows my troubles with sandals after 18 years!! I got to buy all the clearance colors too from a running shoe website!

Now I just have to wait 5 to 10 business days! :upsidedow

I'm really excited because these shoes will be great with skirts too. I'm thinking I'll wear my Tevas during the day (especially for riding the wet rides:thumbsup2) and then I can change into something nicer (like a skirt outfit) and wear these in the evenings. I'll still be good to go for walking all around!:woohoo:

Popped over from my sister's PTR (teafortulips) and I'm all caught up! Looks like things are getting planned!

I love all the pictures from your past trips! Your family is so cute! :goodvibes I can't wait to see more of your PreTrip and hope you will do a full Trip Report when it's all over!

oh my goodness I :lovestruc those! I am searching on the web site for them as we speak! I am having a hard time finding them.. I don't think they have my size! tragic!

i have tall feet... if that makes sense at all. i guess its a high arch? :confused3 and that limits what sandals i can wear, so i totally understand!

what a great find though! *jealous!* ;) im gonna search around on there and see what i can find. :cutie:

Yay!! I like your new shoes!! I am sooooo ready to be wearing sandals again. We haven't had any weather that is anything close to flipflops weather (and like any good Texas girl, I will wear flipflops in 60 degree weather!) I think I might have to look into your sandals! They look pretty perfect for WDW!

Here's the running shoe sight:
http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/MRL969/Womens_Merrell_Siena_Sandal

They have limited quantities, colors, sizes because of the clearance. I bought every color they had in my size last night, the aqua, the green, and the black. I did the VIP membership thing to get free shipping forevermore. Only cost $4.99 for the membership.

These shoes have velcro adjustments all over so you can really get them to fit your feet well. Kinda like a Teva but a whole look cuter.:rotfl:

Those shoes are great!!!! :thumbsup2 Good find.

Thanks! I love finding deals on such things.:thumbsup2

So, I wore flipflops for so long that when I started trying to work out EVERY pair of shoes I wore would give me blisters. Heel blisters. I had weakened my feet for being able to wear regular shoes!

I think they will be perfect for WDW! JMHO. The only thing that would make them REALLY perfect is if they were waterproof type shoes, which they aren't. btw, they are Merrell Siena if you want to start searching.

:worship:
Oh that is the best news I have heard all day!!! So freaking out about the calling and the timing and all that. Now that I "get" what is going on, it makes the anxiety and anticipation worse!!! :rotfl: Before I was blindly picking up the phone for ADRs, had no idea!

So yes, great news. That, and the fact you got a new room ressie!

:thumbsup2

I LOVE MERRELL SHOES!
Their "mules" are great -- and I had a pair of waterproof leather slip on shoes, kinda roman sandal like, that were fantastic when I was preggo... I wear the mules all the time, they are sporty mesh shoes, and I love them... I was thinking about a pair of fitflops... have you heard of those?

They have a new style that the straps are reinforced/padded, so they would be more comfortable... I never liked the look before, but this newer style seems tolerable... Otherwise I need to find something too...:)

Here's an idea..... have you thought about just trying to see if you can make ADR's now? When I called twice yesterday to change my ADR's for our new May trip (9th -16th). The first time I called, I accidentally hit the wrong number (you know the prompts they give you before you talk to a real person) and it was the prompt for further in the future. ANYWAY... the second time I called I realized that, that prompt felt like a way to "limit" people (I'm having trouble describing). But I was able to make my ADR's both times I called, even when I accidentally pushed the button for further in the future. I remember the prompt said something like "if you're booking for March 22nd until June?).

ANYWAY... long story short (TOO LATE) it crossed my mind that maybe you COULD make reservations now if you tried.

(Boy, this post didn't turn out very well.. sorry:rolleyes: )

Good buys on the shoes. I have horrid feet, extremely wide up fron and narrow ankles/heal area. I can't walk in flip flops, becuase I can't stand anything between my toes. So alot of sandles are out. Oh and I am a size ten, sometimes 11. I mostly wear mens shoes, becuase I can't find anything wide enough, so I get 9's usually in mens (sometimes I even have to go bigger) So my tennis shoes and regular sandles are mens. I have some wide ladies shoes, but don't wear them much, as the hurt after long periods. I also can't walk in heels either! I am so unfasionable when it comes to shoes.

You know... it is amazing what people can understand when you don't yourself!!! I followed every word perfectly! Translate: by hitting the wrong button for the "right" time, you might be able to make ADRs sooner that the time you are supposed to... Did I get that? :upsidedow

Yeah, yeah, what she said!

Hey, Donna, just because I wanted you to know, I started a ptr thanks to so much of the fab advice that you and Rabbit gave me... So I feel just like I had my own personal TGM. But instead I had a Rabbit and a TGD. :rotfl: So thanks! Both of you! :flower3:
