Waist bags still ok?

It’s been a few years since I’ve been to Universal, but is it still OK to wear waist packs on most rides so you don’t have to use the lockers for every ride? I know there are some rides like Hulk that you do have to take everything off of you and put it in a locker, and I know you can’t take regular bags on most rides. Last time we went we were able to wear waist packs that were small and wear them on most rides. Thanks!
