We were at 70 degrees this past Tuesday and had a severe thunderstorm warning out for our area on Saturday. The snow is headed east after it hits us.

I'll take a light dusting, thanks. It's been too warm for my liking and it's almost Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to sweaters and mittens and turning on my fireplace (yeah, it's a gas one, but it's still a fireplace)!

Yeah, I'm about to go put my patio table in the garage! 4-8" down here in SE MN expected.

Lots like fall is over, LOL!

Let it snow storm this week. I need DS to be able to get home from MI next week w/o weather interfering.

herc.

Golfgal your sick. I'm not into playing snow golf. The longer it holds off the better. What I want to know is how you only got 9 inches last year and you live in Minnesota? Maine :firefight

We got missed by every storm out there. I swear we had a bubble over our part of the state last year that prevented any snow from falling. Other parts of the state got more, but not that much more. We have had some pretty dry winters the past 10+ years. It has been very strange. Even when we have gotten snow it hasn't stayed around long. I have been golfing in MN in Dec, Jan, and Feb some years. One year we were golfing in SHORTS in February.

The kids were so excited this morning to hear that snow was on the way tomorrow. I'm not sure exactly the numbers in our area for last year, but if it was 9" I'm sure it all came in one day last spring and was gone within a couple of weeks!

Right now they are saying 4-8" in central and SW MN, 3-5" in the twin cities and I don't know what for the rest of the state-the whole state is under a winter weather watch. Wednesday does sound a bit nasty because they are predicting high winds (30-50 mph in our area) so if the snow is at all fluffy, that means white out conditions.

All I can say is you guys are SO LUCKY!!!! We just love snow and like you we missed every darn storm last year!! All the snow fell south of Northern Vermont.

We have just been upgraded to a winter storm warning. The snow is supposed to fall overnight and through the day tomorrow along with 40+mph winds so they are calling for near blizzard conditions, a whopper of a first snowfall! Can you say "snow day"? Actually what will happen is they will have school in the morning because it won't be that bad yet, then at about 10 in the AM it will get bad and they will send all the kids home on the buses in the really nasty stuff. Happens all the time. I am glad we only live a few houses away from school!
