Waddling back to Massachusetts

Just got back from a stay May 19th-27th on the DDP. Thanks to all the help from this board, had an excellent food experience. I would suggest avoiding Mama Melrose's. Pasta was quite dry, lukewarm. I got the vodka sauce pasta and it was greasy. Also no bread was served which was odd.

We were pleasantly suprised by Crystal Palace and Maya Grill. Tony's was a step up from Mama Melrose's but not the best. The chicken in marsala was the best dish out of our party.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe,Kona and Coral Reef were excellent. Le Cellier was quite good.

For Counter service highly recommend Tusker House, ABC commissary and Columbia Harbor House.

And last but not least. CRT breakfast was great. Food was quite good. Atmosphere excellent. The gift shops will ship your pictures to your resort so they don't get mangled.

I walked around for 8 days clutching my snack list from this board and it was a great help. My husband and I loved the caramel apple from the Writer's Stop at MGM. It wasn't sticky and on DDP.

Thanks for the review sorry you didn't enjoy MM. we love it. the fire-grilled pizzas are to-die-for. We'll be doing WDW starting June 15: Ohanas, Biergarten, Sci Fi, MM, Tony's, RFC at AK, Plaza at MK to name a few...yum we try some new every year. some make the next trip cut, some don't. that's what it's all about

I 100% agree about Mama Melrose...the food was not hot at all and the waitress never brought us bread and we asked twice....

BTW, I am originally from Saugus Mass....where are you at?

I know what you mean about waddling back home! We did the same, although we gained 75% of our vacation weight from the Disney Cruise line! (Nothing was bad on board).

We are excited about Wolfgang Puck Cafe, can I ask what you had there? Everything on the menu sounds so good, it's hard to choose!

Thanks for the reviews. We have been to Mama Melrose several times and it has been hit or miss for us to. We ate there last December and it was really good but the time before it was terrible.

So glad that this board was able to help with your snacks and that you enjoyed your time at WDW.. I agree I was not wowed by Mama Melrose...thought it was generic Italian food and service was not great either. People love it though.
